As the title implies I upgraded from MWeb ADSL (using their re-branded technicolor TG589v3 FON router) to their fibre offering (with their supplied Zyxel AMG1302-T11C router).
Since upgrading to fibre (I am no longer using the ADSL line/modem at all and now) I cannot log into any FON hotspots.
On my MWEB profile its shows that FON is enabled, but I cannot connect anywhere.
After some back and forwards with MWEB it seems that if my old ADSL FON enabled router is not online, then I cannot log into any FON hotspots. This seem silly as clearly I wont be using the ADSL router if I've moved to fibre....
So it would seem that now that I've upgraded from ADSL to fibre I'm not going to be able to use the FON service to connect to hotspots anymore.
That sucks!
Anyone else have the same problem or any suggestions?
I really did make use FON hotspots when travelling and would like to be able to continue using them.
