Upload speed importance - VUMA

need to choose an isp for vuma fiber.

should i go 20/2 or 20/20.

how important is upload speed?

bee using 4mb adsl for many years.

Depends what you doing with the connection.

If you have a whole house of people then id go for the symmetric speed so 20/20

with low upload you will suffer from bufferbloat.

Using a 20/2 at a office with 50 people and no issues with that upload speed, but all depends what you have that will be uploading. Some ISP's give free activation with 20/20 where with 20/2 you need to pay activation fee, so there's that

2meg upload is 4x the speed you currently have, if you're not struggling now you'll be fine with it. Can always just upgrade later.

On my 10Mbps adsl if my upload drops below 1Mbps my web pages seem to load slower when the line is busy. So 2Mbps up is fine as long as you dont have cloud sync enabled on your devices for photos and video as this will saturate your upload and hence kill your download speed.
