UPS batteries in series or parallel? ME-1000-BK Mecer 1000VA OFF-LINE UPS

Hi

My old Mecer ME-1000-BK offline UPS takes 2 small 12V (7Ah) batteries.

I'm not sure whether the UPS runs off 24V or 12V when on battery power, and hence whether to wire up the 2 12V batteries in series (24V) or parallel (12V)?

Can't find any docs online...

Does anyone know please?

Hi Mark, I replaced the batteries of my ME-1000-BK today - they are in series for 24V. I'm sure you solved it long ago. I am looking for info to link it to the computer by RS232.
