URGENT VACANCY : Oracle Exadata Specialist

Title: Oracle Exadata Specialist (AA/EE)
Location: Pretoria
Salary: R330 per hour
Contract type: 12 Months Contract

South African Citizens only.

• Candidate must have demonstrable experience of managing high-performance, high-capacity databases in a critical production environment.
• Solid Oracle 11gR1/R2 RAC experience including build, general administration, troubleshooting (Break/Fix) and performance tuning skills
• Experience in Clusterware (GRID Infrastructure) - CRS management and configuration
• Skilled in Oracle ASM and Dataguard administration
• Expertise in SQL & Database Level performance tuning skills
• Expertise in backup and recovery and migration using RMAN, datapump and export/import.
• Experience in Oracle Exadata, Golden Gate replication a plus
• Experience on Solaris, Linux and AIX OS including strong shell scripting skills.
• Support models 24*7 support models.
• Experience managing Linux software repositories with the “yum” tool.
• Experience managing Exadata resources with the IORM
• Comfortable conducting software and firmware maintenance of Oracle servers and Infiniband switches including upgrades and patching
• Integration of Exadata monitoring into existing IT monitoring solutions
• Configuration of Linux servers to meet internal security requirements
• Familiarity with flashcache technology
• Minimum SAGE Level III System Administration capability

Requirements:

• 3 years of experience in a Exadata environment
• previous experience with high transaction and database server environments
• knowledge of various database replication and clustering methods
• expert knowledge of Exadata storgae engines
• experience in database and Exadata backup, restore and disaster recovery procedures
• experience with analysing and turing OS, HArdware and Databases for performance and efficiency
• skills in coding and scripting
• expert troubleshooting skills and abilities

Additional Requirements:

• experience in RAC, ASM, Dataguard, Infiniband Switch and Storage Cell
• Experience in Exadata health check, migration, resource managment and patching / upgrade
• expertise in database performance tuning
• expertise in backup and recovery
