Ah yes, the Ukrainians shot down one of their own helicopters. Do you know what an observation post is?

You can;
1. Call a comrade
2. Go 50 / 50
3. Ask OUR forum
Where did I say it was one of their own? :ROFL:

Helicopters were taken out by basic RPG's back in Vietnam.

Is there any place for them with all the ground-to-air firepower available now ?

The Brits and Yanks made good use of them in Afghanistan, they had different tactics though.

If you think about it, most of Russia's greatest military successes have been down to their ability to soak up huge losses owing to manpower and their enemies out stretching their supplies.

They essentially trade lives until their enemy runs out of lives and supplies.

Yeah well the Russian population won't go for that anymore.

Certainly looking like Russia is defaulting to the "easy" job of levelling towns and cities, to play the psychological war, as they struggle to gain momentum with the conventional attack.
It is what they done in Grozny.

In 1995, the Chechens exacted a terrible toll on Russian attackers in Grozny.

With the 2000 offensive in to Grozny, they first encircled the city and then blasted it in to oblivion.

This could be Kyiv's fate.

It also appears to be a number of Russian trucks , tanks etc without markings. This could be because the initial markings were for planning purposes indicating where they advancing from, now they throwing them into battle.

Or crews removing the markets in the hope of not being targeted by Ukr drones or anti-tank teams.
