Odd statement by the Turkish,

Erdogan: West could have stopped Russia in 2014. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the insufficient response from the West to the Russian invasion of Crimea in 2014 led to Russia’s current full-scale war.

a bit rich, in my opinion, seeing how the two nations rub up against each other.

Don't read to into this, Generals are a dime a dozen, Even our own military under the ANC now has;

most ships in dry dock or disrepair state.
I do believe our own military is a poor yard stick as a "fighting force". The word "even" is probably overselling the comparison.
Our general ranks are handed out as party favours.

The guy was a one star general, which as in many countries is the lowest general rank, I think. That said normally generals are not chopped liver.

I recall a video of a train said to be transporting Russian tanks and other military vehicles "all the way from the Pacific". Maybe he came along.
The current commander of the Eastern District appears to be Colonel General (3 star) Aleksandr Chaiko. Since November 2021.
This guy is the Mayor General (1 star) of the 29th Combined Arms Army of the Eastern District since December 2021.

So he is/was the leader of an entire "army". Not sure what the equivalent of that is this side of the Russian border. It is an amalgam of several divisions. Not a small fighting force. Not sure if there are multiple armies per district, or just one either.

Exactly. When is he going to close his airspace to Russia?
Well Turkey did block Russia off from exiting or entering the black sea by closing the Straits of Bosporus and the Dardanelles off to them.
That means Russia's fleet in the Black Sea is all they have close to Ukraine. If they lose them, then they have to build more, there, or fly more ships in :sneaky:

Sadly the open Turkish airspace has more to do with keeping the Lira up using Russian tourism, than anything to do with this war. Crazy old world.

and yet named after someone called Kyi who was there about 1000 years ago...
Take a read through this from MSF of Chechnya in 1996.

Sound familiar?

And then for more detail read through this.

They cite multiple times the Russians bombed hospitals in Chechnya

This is Twitter, probably green screen or from a different war or something like that. Basically completely fake and unbelievable.

Just as Cape town is a made up name, isn't it?

Lolol
Freaking hell, are you trolling or for real?
You don't know the difference between giving the permission/right and giving the order?

Every place name, ever, was made up..
All copium.
The link posted is real.
Ukrainian government made everyone who doesnt evacuate a target for Grads and TOS, maybe even Katyusha.
Kiev is the word.
Original and made up, not Western propaganda.

Rambo sits in sunny SA, with loadshedding I know, at the computer, defending his defender of conservative values Vlad, and sh-t all over the dead Ukrainians and the millions displaced. And he wonders why destroyed people of post-WW2 Europe did not protest the people who had liberated them.

Fsck me.
Oh so the country that actually harbours real Nazis in today's society are all angels now. Maybe the Russians who lost 24 mil civilians during WW2 may have a different opinion to yours.

I presume you're referring to Russia? Quite a bit of evidence showing they have a neo-nazi problem.
No Ukraine . They are really active in the politics of that country and the Ukraine Army.

The Wagner Group itself was first active in 2014,[1] along with Utkin, in the Luhansk region of Ukraine.[41] The company's name comes from Utkin's own call sign "Wagner" after the German composer Richard Wagner, which he is said to have chosen due to his passion for the Third Reich

Utkin has been alleged to have sympathies with the Third Reich by the Latvia-based Meduza and believed to be a neo-Nazi by the British NationalWorld. In 2022 images surfaced of Utkin purportedly showing Waffen SS collar tab and Reichsadler Eagle tattoos on his collar and chest.[10][11] Additionally, several prominent members of the Wagner group have been photographed or recorded in Nazi uniforms or taking part in re-enactments of WWII events.

None of the neo-nazi groups in Ukraine are in the Ukrainian parliament, they received a tiny percentage of the votes in the last election. The Azov battalion is somewhere between 500 and 1500 strong iirc.

So your presumptions are rather inaccurate.
