Cops are investigating a case of beating and extra police have been brought in to provide better security. This is likely Russian provocation, if any such exists, because a couple of white guys could walk up to you and beat you up and later people say it's the locals.

Then again with hundreds of thousands of people there, you may find a few criminals.

People act here as though there are no criminals in Ukraine, Poland, Romania, etc.

It's intellectual dishonesty. I bet RT is full of this right now.
The fact is that Ukraine is very white-supremacist and racist. But I'm not too sensitive about it. What irks me is that the African Union is very quick to cry foul and moan about it. Why couldn't the individual countries be so quick to extract their students before the stampede, when US intelligence predicted an invasion "in a matter of days?

Take South Africa, for instance: We have a whole ambassador there. Why not do a mass booking of the embassy staff and students out of Ukraine before all airlines pulled out of the country?

The racism is sad, but the real failure is these African governments, which are never ever held accountable for their failures.

They are their own viewed libertarian pundits. I don't know their backers, or the Randolph Bourne Institute's backers, but they have been long around. Angela Keaton is involved in multiple other ‘libertarian’ things. They have their views, and so does many others. Just know that their cause is addressing their system.

I know they've been around long, like since the late 1990s. But they harp against America most of the time. The slant is mostly about American foreign policy. The rest seems to be some token stuff. I just get a bad feeling about them. I know they supported Milosevic when that was going down.

There was also Truth in Media. I wonder if that guy still supports the Russians, he was enamoured with them then.

Yup, anyone that supports Russia in any way shape or form should be made aware of this. It is crazy. You can beat your wife so long as you dont break her bones, WTF is that ???
in 2015 around 1060 people died of domestic violence in Russia. Of them, 756 were men and 304 women

And people here still want Russian brides!

It is very sad but is just part of the lack of general human rights in Russia.

While superyachts owned by Russian billionaires hightail it to the Maldives to escape possible seizure, middle class Russians are watching their life savings vanish in just a few days.

"It's going to be a very severe recession," Steven Durlauf, a University of Chicago economist, told Insider.

And it's the Russian middle class — not Putin or his oligarchs — who will feel the most pain.

Sanctions that western countries enacted in response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine are already disrupting the Russian economy — it's hurt the value of the ruble, taking away opportunities for Russians to pay off their debt, and making loans harder to come by.

The US and its allies are specifically targeting Russian oligarchs with their financial attack, but average, middle-class Russians are going to suffer too, Durlauf and other economists say. That could lead to short and long-term economic pain for people who aren't necessarily in favor of the war — in fact, thousands of Russians have protested against it.

The fact is that Ukraine is very white-supremacist and racist.

This is cherry picking. Russia is also white supremacist and racist. China is China racist and supremacist.

These are isolated countries which have always been homogenous. They are not racist in the sense they had the slave trade, colonies, exploited blacks/Indians/Native Americans/Asians but they just aren't PC. That's all. The West is PC. It's unfair to say they are racist because of this, because they have a war of survival right now, and because before this, many thousands of black/Indian/Asian students would attend their universities and med schools and they enjoyed doing it. If it was a racist country they wouldn't be there in the first place.

They are not politically correct, that's all. Neither are the Chinese. What happened during Covid-19? Blacks in China were accused of spreading Covid19.

But I'm not too sensitive about it. What irks me is that the African Union is very quick to cry foul and moan about it. Why couldn't the individual countries be so quick to extract their students before the stampede, when US intelligence predicted an invasion "in a matter of days?

African Union needs to fix the problems of Africa. With so many despots and so much corruption and war and rape and misery, they should fix these problems and they have so far done little. It's however easy to issue statements and get paid for it.

Take South Africa, for instance: We have a whole ambassador there. Why not do a mass booking of the embassy staff and students out of Ukraine before all airlines pulled out of the country?

Because they fell asleep at the wheel.

The racism is sad, but the real failure is these African governments, which are never ever held accountable for their failures.

Dude it's a freaking war. There is no racism. If you call that racism than the whole world outside of the West is like this. You think Indians are PC to black people? You think Chinese like other races? We also know some students can be entitled because in the West people are PC, some youngsters may get the idea they are privileged and push people whose country is literally bombed into the stone age around. Have you ever been in a war situation? Do you understand what that's like?

If they were so racist why are foreign students there? They weren't. They're just different.

Speaking of which, I highly recommend you-all look up and check out the clip of Foreign Affairs editor Gideon Rose on the old Stephen Colbert show on February 24, 2014, bragging about the Kiev coup two days before; about how easy it was and how we’re stealing this important strategic asset away from Russia while Putin is distracted with the Sochi Olympics so he can’t do anything about it. Rose explains that Ukraine is formerly part of "the old Soviet bloc," and that, "It’s basically Robin to Russia’s Batman. And the challenge here is to try to attract it to the West, to get it to flip sides."

A Russian investor has put a $1 million bounty on Russian President Vladimir Putin, asking for Russian military officers to arrest Putin as a war criminal.

"I promise to pay $1,000,000 to the officer(s) who, complying with their constitutional duty, arrest(s) Putin as a war criminal under Russian and international laws," said crypto investor and California-based businessman Alex Konanykhin in a Facebook post on Wednesday.

Konanykhin claimed that Putin had violated the Russian constitution by "eliminating free elections" and "murdering his opponents."

"As an ethnic Russian and a Russia citizen, I see it as my moral duty to facilitate the denazification of Russia. I will continue my assistance to Ukraine in its heroic efforts to withstand the onslaught of Putin's Orda," Konanykhin said. using the Russian word for "horde."

Konanykhin told Insider that he had put a bounty — which will come from his funds — to show that the military assault on Ukraine is not being conducted in his name.

"If enough other people make similar statements, it may increase the chances of Putin getting arrested and brought to justice," he added.

No , the entire wiki article provides better estimates.

In February 2017, with the support of the Russian Orthodox Church, Russia decriminalized domestic violence in cases where it does not cause "substantial bodily harm" (such as broken bones or a concussion)[38] and does not happen more than once a year.[39] As a result, domestic violence increased[40][41] while reporting declined sharply, and police began to refuse to investigate domestic violence cases.[4]

Gideon rose who bragged about it is a CFR member.

My lord, you're grasping at straws.

This was a regime change tactic, pure good old imperialism.

Freight giants Kuehne+Nagel (K+N) and DHL have suspended services to Russia with immediate effect.

The Russian army continues to attack Ukraine following its invasion on Thursday. Fighting has reached major cities leading to concerns that civilian casualties will increase.

In a statement on Tuesday evening, K+N announced it was suspending all import shipments to the Russian Federation "with immediate effect," except for "pharma, healthcare and humanitarian supplies".

On Wednesday, DHL announced a similar measure but is also including Russia's ally Belarus in the suspension. The company said it's also closed its offices and operations in Ukraine, citing employee safety.

The two joined other major US freight firms FedEx and UPS who restricted services to the Russian Federation on 27 February, per Reuters.
