Well if their aim is so bad I would suggest they not use their nukes in case they vaporise Moscow and St. Petersburg .
Ok I see...you actually have no idea what happened so are just posting propaganda...got it.

Russian != Russian Speaker.

EDIT: Russian here is an actual ethnicity, some of the others (who I did not bother to look up) are Slavs.... but not the Russians.
It's only in the first sentence

It's a direct hit on an apartment block.

Got f/all do do with collateral damage.
And that hasn't happened elsewhere? And then called collateral damage?

The hypocrisy with this conflict is the most astounding thing.

if so, why?

I need to point out to you that the Ukrainian State Border Guard Service aren't military, they are an agency with a special border control mandate who reports directly to the Ukrainian President, however, under wartime they are assigned to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Now that this is established, let's tell the tale,

Russia invaded Ukraine on the 24th, Zmiinyi, or otherwise known as Snake Island was an immediate target. The Ukrainian border guards, most possibly not assigned to the military at that time, were requested by two Russian navy vessels, the Vasily Bykov (a patrol boat),

and Moskva (a cruiser),

to surrender, to which the Snake Island border guard station returned a response that they are not willing to surrender. Within moments, the patrol boat started to assault the island with their deck gun, which happened to be streamed live at that moment by a border guard on the island, mind you this is the island,

%D0%A1%D0%B5%D0%BB%D0%B8%D1%89%D0%B5_%D0%91%D1%96%D0%BB%D0%B5%2C_%D0%BE%D1%81%D1%82%D1%80%D1%96%D0%B2_%D0%97%D0%BC%D1%96%D1%97%D0%BD%D0%B8%D0%B9_%282008%29.jpg

it was around this time the response by the border guard station was leaked to the internet, and later that evening the Ukrainian State Border Guard Service lost communication with their station on Snake Island. Russia then reported to have taken the island, and it was assumed by the border guard service that all border guards stationed on the island were presumed dead, then the Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, made the announcement, to quote,

“On our Zmiinyi Island, defending it to the last, all the border guards died heroically. But they did not give up. All of them will be posthumously awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine,”

On the 25th it was reported by the Russian government that Ukraine tried to retake the island with sixteen assault boats, but lost in their attempt, claiming to have sunk six Ukrainian boats and stating that Ukraine was assisted by US intelligence using drones. It is unknown whether any or how many Ukrainian marines were captured during this assault. On the 26th, the Ukrainians deployed a civilian search and rescue expedition to Snake Island, but the vessel was commandeered by the Russian navy, then a report was made to the border guard service, now under Ukrainian Armed Forces command, that all border guards stationed at Snake Island, a 13 in total, voluntarily surrendered to the Russians. It was only on the 28th, that the Ukrainian Navy made a public announcement on Facebook,

Regarding the actions of the Russian Federation near Snake Island

February 26, receiving information that the o. The snake among our defenders may have been killed and wounded, and the civilian ship of the IMPRO Sapphire was sent to the island for a humanitarian mission to help the victims. Together with the crew agreed to go out fathers Vasyl Virozub, Alexander Chokov and their assistants. But they were illegally captured by the Russians. Illegal capture of a non-combatant civilian vessel is a violation of the rules and customs of war, international humanitarian law.

We demand the immediate release of illegally captured citizens of Ukraine from Russia Addressing the world community, to the believers of all churches with a request to take all possible measures of influence on Russia to return our citizens

Regarding the Marines and border guards who were taken captive by Russian occupants on the island of Snake.
We are very happy to know that our brothers are alive and well!

But Russian propaganda tries to spin the "news" that kind of Ukrainian authorities "forgotten", "buried" their subordinates.

At the same time, the marines bravely fought back the attacks of Russian occupants twice. Due to BC's marriage, they were unable to continue protecting the island.

In turn, the invaders "forgot" to report that they had completely destroyed the island's infrastructure: lighthouse, towers, antennas, etc. Accordingly, communication with the Snake was interrupted. Repeated attempts to contact the personnel and learn about his fate were in vain. And the constant shelling from the Russian warships and aviation did not allow to complete the support for the marines.

To sum up what was said, we want to add, the enemy has once again demonstrated his essence. And again proved that there is no faith and truth in his actions and words.

And we look forward to our brothers and sisters.

Public Relations Service
The command of the navy
Armed Forces of Ukraine

Most MSM reports on the Snake Island tale were only published by the 25th and later dates, almost all running the response by the Snake Island border guards which was trending on social media.

Tell me why couldn't the Ukrainian border guards, presumed dead, who were unwilling to surrender to the enemy, but did so under assault, not be lauded as heroes, even by the highest honour? Just know, since they are all alive, posthumously won't apply, so no Snake Island border guard was awarded anything.

jeez these American reports I swear. They say the Ukrainians are destroying this massive Russian convoy with artillery, su-24, su-25 etc etc but show a photo of 2 burning houses.. yet not once in this whole war have we seen any large artillery being fired by Ukraine. Then they go on to say, 'the Russians are in a holding pattern surrounding Kiev and we don't know why?"

MAYBE: There are peace talks right now.. this second.. and if they succeed, well the troops pull back.. if they fail, then they open fire and level the whole city. It's not rocket science why they are waiting to attack.

(talking about thermobaric weapons)

“We have seen videos of Russian forces moving exceptionally lethal weaponry into Ukraine which has no place on the battlefield,” the U.S. envoy to the U.N., Linda Thomas-Greenfield, told the General Assembly, according to The Hill.

Yet the Yanks used them in Afghanistan and Vietnam. Hypocrites.

Ukraine's armed forces, border guards recapture Ukraine's state border in Sumy Oblast, according to National Security and Defense Council Secretary Oleksiy Danilov. This northern region bordering Russia saw heavy fighting throughout the war.

This would be indicative of Russia being pushed back in Sumy, but do note that is the state border, however, there are loads of reports of Ukraine taking back territory only to have it announced the next day not to be the case. Best to keep your hopes up.

If Ukraine doesn't sign this peace treaty now, well... there is going to be nothing but rubble left of their country. Both sides have to compromise immediately or this will likely end in a nuclear war

If they lose their country, why shouldn't every nation lose theirs?

Will Nato coalitions just sit and watch or try and bait Russian forces? Would be silly to bait Russia now, but war is money, someone will be rubbing their hands.

I still don't see the justification for nuking Russian civilians in that. Engage (their military), sure. Nuke, no.

Unless you mean, nuke that 40mile long convoy near Kyiv.

That is why I brought up escalation dominance. It becomes a chain reaction where you one-up in an attempt to get the other side to back down. Start with nuking troops in the field, then you are nuking strategic infrastructure and then a city goes bye-bye.

And Putin cannot back down. Anything he starts now he has to commit to because his reputation and legacy back home is on the line.

The National Endowment for Democracy operatives will no doubt try to remove or squash this documentary. Too late though, the rabbit is out of the hat. Laughing at the US government for their hypocrisy and condemning them for their crimes will become as popular as condemning Putin for his crimes (both rightfully so).
