This is how Ukrainians and Russians roll. You guys must know that these people are intermixed and this is how they fight. Exactly the same would happen if the Russians were being attacked.

Also how would you react? When was the last time the West was under such attack at home?
I remember the Boers also fighting very hard against the Brits and the Brits needed to burn farms and depopulate them to stop the support for the hit and run guerilla war tactics which occurred.

so you know how ukrainians and russians roll do you

you appear a bit.. misguided..

Not deliberately. But war is not the only answer, then you make the decision which leads to death of people for no reason. You start a war of aggression, you are responsible for all the deaths.

It would be different if this was Russia's existential struggle or Ukraine had attacked them and they were doing what they could to defend themselves.
Totally, we agree on one thing. However the lack of Ukraine, NATO etc. to guarantee Ukraine’s nuetral status. I do see where Russia is coming from. Putin tabled this in December and was laughed of and called a tyrant.

More could have been done to avoid this. As the head of state it’s his obligation to ensure security. I wouldn’t expect anything less from any head of state.

yeah i dno, him just saying something doesnt make it so.

that azov thing is verifiable though.

on the other hand, it is not unimaginable to heave such leadership in place considering those groups move around freely.

also, the guy that got them in, poroshenko, had ties to such groups which was ignored 8 years ago.

I just wondered if Putin fell into the group of 'those types".

You're an expert on braais my friend.

as an afrikaans speaking south african, that is a compliment.

clearly, you are out of touch on how south africans, ukrainians and russians... "roll"...

You think there were willing guerilla forces ever in the East?

LOL.

You were drafted in and you fought.

from your example, he said the boer guerilla force were voluntary. the ukrainians are being conscripted to die, act as a meat shield, so people can go, "look what russia did!'

My twitter feed had a re-tweet from EFF leadership basically supporting Russia and thanking them for pushing back on the evil "West".

They're a bunch of dangerous delusionals.
If they ( EFF ) pulled the **** in Russia that they pull here on a daily basis , Putin would have sorted them out long ago. As for the "West" being evil well there's some truth to it when it comes to sponsoring regime changes.

your reasoning does not appear to make sense, that would imply putin is calling himself and his people hitler and nazis.

there is an actual neo nazi element within the ukrainian military forces. as i have posted. it has been known for years now.

They are being conscripted in to defend their country. Something other nations did and do in times of war. Death may follow but then any soldier must face that he may die. Soldiers are actually called to die, if necessary.

Their official government is conscripting them and that makes them members of their armed forces, which means the Geneva Convention applies to them.

I am sure that even in the Boer war conscription occurred. It definitely occurred in Eastern Europe.

Russia to partially restrict Facebook, accusing it of human rights violations

Russia said Friday that it would partially limit access to Facebook within its borders over what it alleges is censorship of four state news outlets.

In its announcement, the country's communications regulator said it asked Facebook earlier in the week to remove the restrictions and explain its reasoning for them but did not hear back. It also accused the company of various other human rights and freedoms abuses, which it did not detail.

Facebook and its parent company, Meta, have not publicly detailed what action it took, if any, against these Kremlin-backed accounts. The company did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

       Now this is s**t funny stuff right here..... and some people may have thought that Putin has no sense of humor....

Except they handed out 18000 AKs.

Javelins are on the way, Stingers too.

One Stinger vs a plane full of paratroopers. Good odds.

And I believe that the Javelins can take out helicopter gunships as well.
