Russia doesn't want Nato on its borders. They want a neutral zone/country.
It doesn't seem like they think they can rely on the Ukrainian guy to not accept weapons that everyone is gifting, or to implement the Minsk agreements.

So they likely want a Russian aligned government in Ukraine.
They want a buffer.

And someone who won't shell their own civilians either.

Shame, poor insecure fools.
Same can be said of the Cuban missile crisis.

You forget the NATO offensive bombing of Yugoslavia. Any good statesmen should be expected to keep national security as a priority.

Is this the end of Western World dominance? I mean Russia > USA? Climate change uncovering more gas under the melting Russian ice, and the West more effected by it. Russia is set to become the new superpower.

Latvia and Estonia have Russia to the east and Belarus to the south. Strategically little threat compared to the corridor through Ukraine.
So? Ukraine has Belarus to the north and Russia to the east
Latvia and Estonia are on the the Eurasian steppe and closer to Moscow and St Pietersburg any real invasion would come from there

The US still maintain the marshal doctrine and would never let Russia or China get close to its borders.

Poor insecure fools, I guess.

Corridor is too narrow. Would be a small border to defend. You know as a ambush always uses a pinch point for good reason.

Scumbag cowardly politician , calling to arm civilians, then when they are killed, the weapons disappear and all of a sudden there numerous calls about "civilians" being targeted or atrocities against "civilians".
Go join them and set an example, as he is a civilian.
Wouldn't that be convenient for Russia... Is that a thing the presidents of countries do no? Go fight on the front line? Why doesn't Putin go fight on the front line of this thing he believes so much in?
Actually from where I'm sitting I'm really starting to admire the resolve of the Ukrainian president in these events. Has even had opportunity to leave the country, which he rejected. This with... what was it?.. Chechen kill squads sent after him and his family.
Honestly such rhetoric as you are spouting sounds exactly like revisionist propaganda efforts, from revisionist, propagandist state which is looking worse and worse as this conflict develops.

But they joined Nato when the USSR just collapsed and Russia had no power to do anything about it.
