If it was in the English Channel, then its technically not open sea, its still territorial waters for either France or the UK.
True but it wouldn't be like it had much choice though, it's not a speedboat and if it was egressing .... Just saying it's a bit grey if the transaction had taken place PRIOR to hostilities.

that was some very explosive peace keeping over the years

Yes and did they achieve peace. They did. There was war in the centre of Europe and Europeans wanted Serbia to settle this amicably. They didn't.

You understand context bud? So how many civilians died there?
Compare to Chechnya.

And how many died there.

And tell me which country would you prefer to live in? Chechnya or Serbia which is due to join EU and wants to join NATO.

Yes I'm sure this hurt Serb pride. But war is not the answer in modern Europe.

You are not rational. You prefer a country like Russia which killed many more people in Chechnya to NATO which has a much much better record. You need to be consistent. If NATO is bad for Serbia, Russia is 100x worse for Chechnya.

KIEV, UKRAINE – Amid soaring tensions with Russia, the United States is spending a fortune on foreign interference campaigns in Ukraine. Washington’s regime-change arm, the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), has spent $22.4 million on operations inside the country since 2014, when democratically-elected President Viktor Yanukovych was overthrown and replaced by a successor government handpicked by the U.S. Those operations included propping up and training pro-Western political parties, funding pliant media organizations, and subsidizing massive privatization drives that benefit foreign multinational corporations, all in an effort to secure U.S. control over the country that NED President Carl Gershman called “the biggest prize” in Europe

Bulk of Russian forces just 18 miles from Kyiv, according to UK intelligence

The bulk of Russian forces are now only 18.6 miles (30 kilometers) from the center of Kyiv, the British Ministry of Defence said Saturday.

It also warned Russia that casualties are “likely to be heavy and greater than anticipated or acknowledged by the Kremlin.”

According to the latest intelligence update from the ministry, "Russia has yet to gain control of the airspace over Ukraine greatly reducing the effectiveness of the Russian Air Force."

It said that "Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to put up staunch resistance across the country."

Source: CNN

Just want to add to this, from the troops Russia has deployed to the 'front', only an estimated 30% has entered Ukraine, as reported last night (SAST), and the majority of these troops would be tasked with setting up fortifications, advance bases and establishing logistics.

From the report above, I would assume that the bulk of the troops that have entered Ukraine is in the North, and North East.

Read everything which was said. China supports Ukrainian sovereignty. Do you comprehend English. Can you add 1+1?

Do you know what sovereignty is?

On Friday, Wang made clear that China supports Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, adding that Beijing backs the interests of “small and medium-sized countries.” While taking some veiled shots at the US, the senior diplomat also called China a “responsible major country” — signalling that Beijing is concerned about how the Russian conflict might affect the reputation of the world’s second-biggest economy.

Can you stop making stuff up?

Do they really think pushing a nuclear power into a corner is a good idea?

Nah, he wont do it, he likes to gloat. You know how people say " ag just leave the taxis to do their own thing, not worth fighting it"? Look wtf they are doing on the roads these days.

The same thing is going to happen here. Many have asked before, where will it the end? He might as well announce the entire world belongs to him because he has a sht load of nukes

Id rather die by nuke than to live under his rule, and no @rvZA I WONT get use to it because he is going to be the next super power, not happening.

says the retard condoning unilateral military strikes, if NATO may do it, then Russia may do it

there is zero difference, you condone both or you condemn both, choose

Serbia was asked for a long time to not take rather lawless action in Kosovo. Given the bloody Balkan War which happened a few years before Europe wanted to b1tch slap the people into peace. I was personally for a more peaceful response but I suppose Europe grew weary.

Now the Serbs want to be in NATO and EU.

Expansion, existing status quo.
The existing status quo, as per the Budapest Memorandum. (signed by Russia)
  1. Respect Belarusian, Kazakh and Ukrainian independence and sovereignty in the existing borders.
  2. Refrain from the threat or the use of force against Belarus, Kazakhstan and Ukraine.
  3. Refrain from using economic pressure on Belarus, Kazakhstan and Ukraine to influence their politics.
  4. Seek immediate Security Council action to provide assistance to Belarus, Kazakhstan and Ukraine if they "should become a victim of an act of aggression or an object of a threat of aggression in which nuclear weapons are used".
  5. Refrain from the use of nuclear arms against Belarus, Kazakhstan and Ukraine.
  6. Consult with one another if questions arise regarding those commitments.
Putin's stance: That it provides no true guarantee of safety due to Russia's coercive power.

Pathetic.

Yes it was a bit heavy handed but there was a risk of drawing more people in and destabilisation of European security.

Russians would also get involved and help Serbs.

Again not everyone is an angel. But compare to Chechnya. I'd rather have the guys who policed Serbia than the guys who 'policed' Serbia to be my partners.

Russia is not Serbia. Russia is huge, has a huge army, has the largest nuke arsenal. Nobody would bomb Russia unless Russia invaded first.

So China supports Ukrainian independence? Cool.

It also supports human rights and constantly tells the rest of the world it does.

People need to stop living in fantasy Hollywood land thinking Chinese owe anything to Russia and love them. Chinese love strong people and rich people. They have way more respect for Europe and US than they have for poor white countries. And even there they don't have so much respect.
