That is just one scenario but unlikely because China does not need this. China has such close economic and cultural ties with Taiwan it doesn't need Russia
missing the point entirely, it needs Russia's distraction, not Russia itself

and Russia is more than sharp enough to know this too

Sure. But then don’t say they are a defensive coalition when they have preemptive attacks when no member was threatened.

“Folks” here believe they are a defensive only coalition and Russia is being daft for not wanting nato on their border.
Oh, I'm sorry...

So when a regime is, and I can't stress this enough... ETHNIC CLEANSING... part of it's population, and then denies peacekeepers access to the country to stop said ethnic cleansing, folks should just shrug and let them keep on keeping on with genocide.

Gotcha.

Ukraine moved the appointment place and date out to an undetermined state, meaning they called off the talks

why would you cease firing when that happens?

Where was the original appointment place and date, and to which undetermined state?

Did NATO attack civilians? I’ll help, yes they did.

Was any member of NATO attacked or threatened. No.

So is this the action of a defensive coalition which should only come into affect when attacked.

My only question. Is NATO a defensive only coalition factoring the above?

Minsk was proposed, for today

Ukraine didn't accept and didn't offer any alternative = undetermined, nobody in their right military mind is going to wait multiple days for someone to suggest a date and time while you hold the cards in a military offensive

you will push on to light a fire under their indecisive asses

The current two breakaway provinces that have been involved in a civil dispute for the last 8 years and underwent intense shelling prior and shortly after this started.

Let's keep in mind that while Ukraine is a sovereign state, the people used to be in a larger country. That means you have family, friends and relatives across newly drawn borders. This is not a simple country dispute, it has those issues, as well as civil war problems.

War is never clean, this one is certainly not as well.
Yeah sure... Russia and Ukraine have been involved in a bitter, dirty fight. Mostly centred around the Donbass region recently, and Crimea back in the previous decade. Now the entire Ukraine. Russia has consistently disrespected Ukraine's rights as a sovereign nation. Ukraine even started considering joining NATO, and since Russian escalation by assisting ethnic Russian rebels in the Ukraine in converting bits of said sovereign nation to Russian territory, have actively pursued it.

So... NATO's terrible sin of considering but not actually granting Ukraine membership...? Budapest Memorandum... Which Russia broke and then just conveniently dismissed as pointless, because Russia has big guns? Care to get back to the point?

In which country is Minsk, and which country facilitated Russia's Northern invasion of Ukraine?

does it matter? one side made a proposal, the other side not only didn't accept, they didn't bother to counter with any proposal of their own ... that is a guarantee that fighting will continue, period

it's almost as if they think they're back in WW1 ... an armoured vehicle doesn't give a flying fahk about some petrol burning on its surface

/facepalm
I am sure the call on civilians is only to satisfy propaganda. When in eventuality the Russian army opens fire on a bunch of civilians throwing cocktails.

Then we can lambaste the Russians for inhuman warfare with an unfair advantage for civilians only armed with Petrol and polystyrene.

You heard it here first.

Yes, it does, don't be obtuse. Belarus, which you refrained for answering, is anything but neutral. Just to put it to you, Turkey has proposed Ankara as the place of arbitration, but I believe you will be quick to call them out as NATO. If you want to debate, at least add substance.
