China’s Xi Jinping stresses cooperation with North Korea’s Kim under ‘new situation’: state media

Chinese President Xi Jinping has sent a message to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un emphasizing cooperation between the two countries, according to state media in North Korea.

Xi said that China was ready to work with North Korea to realize the two sides’ "common understanding" and promote friendly and supportive relations under "a new situation," state media outlet KCNA reported Saturday.

The report didn’t provide details on the "new situation," according to Reuters, which first reported on Xi's message.

Xi’s remarks come in response to Kim’s message of congratulations following the close of the Winter Olympics in Beijing, state media reported.

The messages of support between the two countries also come a day after Xi offered his "support" for Russian President Vladimir Putin as Russian forces bombarded Ukraine in a full-scale invasion.

According to a readout of a call held between the two allies, Xi expressed the importance of rejecting a "Cold War mentality" and said he takes "seriously and respect the reasonable security concerns of all countries."

Big trouble on the way for the whole world. Believe it or not, I do not care.

I don’t hate you. All that certainty, arrogance and bluster, you’re funny.
not me, you seem to hate independent thinking, at least that is the only conclusion if you make quips about expertise

meaning you require it in order to function mentally, not all of us do

it honestly does not take any expertise to have predicted where we are now, 8 years of explicit warnings, multiple deaf ears ignoring it, war ... surprised? I'm not, do you need an expert to explain it?

How is sending Ukraine, who is already arming untrained civilians and is only going to get them killed, more weapons in a loosing battle, a good thing?

Resistance is good. Finland held off the Soviets in WW2 - rather embarrassingly for the Soviets. Do you think Russia will enjoy street-by-street battles? The longer this goes for Putin, the worse it gets.

but IF EVERYONE joined in together....

Although where would russians fly to anyway? China? Ukraine?
close an area of 17 million square km to air travel, blocking off any east bound route from Europe to South East Asia for example

close the gas taps on Europe completely

after that they will fly where they damn well please

I think you need to look up WW2 and what Russia is capable of in the hands of a strong ruthless leader..

I sure do. But not you. I reckon your “expertise” has come from googling like a madman for the last 3 days.

@The_Mowgs, unfortunately not you, nor I or anyone else will have another option. No, we will not die by nukes. We are entering a new era in the world. The world will be run by two super powers and that is Russia and China. We all will have to get used to it. The past 10 years here in SA we got a small taste of what is yet to come. This will happen globally.
Yeah, still not going to get use to it, its not going to happen and if it does we can refer back to this thread and I will apologise.

Just as a reminder for everyone, Putin used the political divide in Ukraine to further his goals of protecting Russia from Nato. He does not give a **** about independence:

Thanks for the link.

I am colour blind, perhaps @Grant would kindly tell me what colour this is?

I mean, I had figured this out via world of mouth and bits and pieces picked up by reading over the years but this is extremely detailed and I never really understood the full extent of how things had changed in Russia over the years, that now makes much more sense.

I was saying earlier in the thread about how the Communists no longer exist, that China is now a capitalist country too.

It definitely seems that both have taken the old style, mixed it up and bit and here we are again. Similar to how the West has adopted various socialistic ideals and made their countries into something new.

The difference being, these forms are much more potent than the last ones and they truly give 0 sh**s nowadays.
