Great strategy. Why I'm on Russia's side, basically because this is the same thinking of warmongers in the US.

They believe Putin is this bad guy but at the same time they believe they can back him into corner and rely on him to be the adult in the room and back down and not start using nukes, because the US certainly will.

One side seems crazy to me. This bad evil guy that wants to take over the world. We should just trust him to do te reasonable thing because our side can't. Well okay. Putin please save us.

general assessment is that Russia has learned from their Georgia and Crimea campaigns... their strategy shows that....- however they have become emboldened - most likely the higher ups ---thinking Ukrainians would just roll over - their version of Blitzkrieg --- is missing some Blitz + at some stage the whole playing chicken with nukes , will have to be stared down... or it will be the same ****, different season..

What's the alternative, just sit back and let the bad evil guy take over the world? We've seen that movie before.

He's not backed into the corner. The thing is that if they do nothing they embolden him. It's not as if, if they surrender and give him Europe he'll call it a day. Russians will dominate who they can. You know how Gazprom sc-rws Europeans over.

He doesn't want to take over the world. He and his people want a strong Russia to be on par with Imperial Russia or USSR. They want to dominate everyone around them. Do you think China and India would be happy with such a strong bossy Russia. Do you think it's better to have a weaker Russia because USA for all its "warmongering" is far away?

incorrect, invading Ukraine shifts it back to a place of more balance than the world has right now

we may not like that shift, but "balance" is sure as hell not where the world is these days

Negotiations as per the numerous occasions Russia attempted to table in forum the NATO promises and security situation and was laughed at and called a tyrant.

They know if they do it's WW3 and contrary to your warped views, nobody in the Western world is interested in a war with Russia. The problem is if this carries on they won't have much of a choice in the matter.
