Recent images show the cockpit of the Russian Su-34 Fullback strike jet during combat missions in support of the Syrian Armed Forces in the north of the country. In the image, Viktor Alksnis has spotted a commercial GPS receiver that was secured with a simple clamp in the cockpit of the Su-34.

Experts later determined that the photo shows a U.S.-manufactured GPS receiver developed by the Garmin company. Russian military pilots used the GPS receiver of Garmin’s popular entry-level eTrex Legend family.

Apparently, the Russian military used an American GPS receiver to duplicate their onboard navigation systems, which reportedly often malfunctioned in real combat conditions.

Garmin says that with its high-sensitivity, WAAS-enabled GPS receiver, eTrex Legend locates position quickly and precisely and maintains its GPS location even in heavy cover and deep canyons.

While I don't disagree, it assumes you're indoctrinated enough to deny the offenses committed by the nationalists against the people of Donbass in the first place.

But yeah, the nationalists don't exist, unprovoked attack, legitimate elections, no interference here.

Send more weapons asap.

Personally, I think the entire world is ****ed up.

Well, if Ukraine has nationalists, Russia has nationalists too, leading it even, didn't want Chechnya to leave.

The USSR mentality is alive and well in Putin's ruling gang.
most likely a circle jerk of Soviet era security agency confidants surrounding him...in the end he is just human like all of us, with frailties... Covid and lockdowns has truly tested all's take on reality... with the isolation protocol he has...makes total sense...fears heightened ...boogieman/bad NATO around every corner...

Bwahaha, Walmart GPS in Eastern Europe? GPS hardly works anywhere near the Russian border due to them scrambling it and I don't think Walmart sells GLONASS units. We had to always switch to VFR when flying close to Russia.
Dont you come into this thread and use logic or fact.
Hey buddy, personal experiences arent welcome when we have "verified" sources.

'European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced Sunday that Kremlin-backed RT, formerly known as Russia Today, and Sputnik, would be banned in the EU.

"We will ban the Kremlin’s media machine in the EU. The state-owned Russia Today and Sputnik, and their subsidiaries, will no longer be able to spread their lies to justify Putin’s war," she said.

"We are developing tools to ban their toxic and harmful disinformation in Europe," von der Leyen added, without providing more details.'

"logic and fact"? What he just posted is actually called an anecdote.

There are photos and Russian confirmation of the use of Garmin GPS units by Russian pilots.

From the BRICS partners, it is only Brazil who took a stance that Russia must withdraw their troops and who supported the UN resolution on Friday.
So now they're RICS?
Once Russia and China goes they'll have to find an original name.

It was supposed to be quite a common upgrade in their jets as the Russian unit was a POS according to the pilots.
I cant find anything on google. Perhaps your google-fu better or where did you hear about this?
