Lol so russia is willing to risk mutual destruction. Wonder if the US will call their bluff. I dont see this ending well, if russia launches a single warhead, I don't think the US is going to negotiate, it is going to be full on assault with zero mercy.
I expect the US has a IF playbook planned out, considering they are on level 3, so I can only assume they have already mobilised, carriers and bombers, ect.

Firing a nuke would immediately seal Russia's fate. In today's age there is no tactical, nor strategical use to firing of nukes other than mutual destruction.

So it wouldn't be one warhead, it would probably be all the warheads at once.
