Friends have noticed a significant increase in B-52’s flying in and out of RAF bases. I’m sure Putin has as well.

Come on, half this thread is taken up by how Western media is all propaganda, now suddenly I'm supposed to use it to get a balanced view ?

Go with China News or India Today. Pakistan Tomorrow. Pick one. Pick all.

Someone mentioned Uganda News too

Here is some Russia state news,

Press review: Why Putin put nuke forces on high alert and liberation of Donbass continues

Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered to put the strategic nuclear forces on special alert, justifying this decision by the West’s "unfriendly economic actions", as well as the "aggressive" rhetoric against Moscow, the Kommersant newspaper said. According to experts, this is the first time when Russia’s nuclear forces were transferred to such a mode since the end of the Cold War. The US leadership declared that NATO did not pose a threat to Russia.

"Most likely, we are talking about bringing the control system of nuclear forces into a state that makes deterrence forces more stable in the event of an attack," Director of the Russian Nuclear Forces Project, Senior Researcher at the UN Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR) Pavel Podvig told Kommersant. "Overall, once a containment force has been brought to this point, it becomes less vulnerable to a first strike, be it decapitation or disarmament. However, this does not mean that Russia is going to attack first."

...

Currently, the Kiev regime’s units in Donbass are actually cut off, and this is the most combat-ready part of the Ukrainian army, according to Deputy Director at the Center for Comprehensive European and International Studies, National Research University Higher School of Economics Vasily Kashin. "The encirclement operation is becoming the crucial one, and we are about to complete it," he told Izvestia. "If these units are prevented from retreating deep into the country, Ukraine will lose its main reserve, and, on the contrary, huge forces will be freed up in our country. These include the troops of the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics.

Denazification and demilitarization are the main objective, so the Russian forces are carrying out it all across Ukraine, the expert said. We need to defeat its army, destroy the military infrastructure and conduct political reforms. Solving such tasks can take three weeks, a month or even longer. "Assessing the situation is challenging due to the growing number of fakes. And the Ukrainian Defense Ministry was caught more than once in outright and deliberate lies," the expert noted.

How can you distinguish between the person and an argument? If the person believes something, is that not an attack on them?
It's simple in most cases..... it's not what you say it's how you say it.

There is a major difference between saying someone is stupid and someone is being stupid.

The former is an insult, the latter implies your faith that the person has the ability to not do what he is doing but is choosing of his own free will to do it.

As you might have experienced, you can only be nice so long before yu change your approach. Both Emjay and i tried being nice for a bit(to other forumites), but it is misconstrued for weakness sometimes, maybe more so for me because I am interpreted as to being a wishy washy liberal.
Your weakness is how you default on emotional arguments when you loose the logical one's. It is either blood in the water or a sign that you don't believe what you say you do because it's true but because you want it to be true.

The same can be said of you of course... the discussion is civil one moment and then you go off on an emotional tangent which completely demolishes all goodwill you previously built up and basically ends any hope of civil discussion because of how you broke trust.

You do go into detail which is fair, but you have your own pov and I have mine, neither of us needs to change the others view, we just need to understand one another. If I cannot add anything, I do no zone out, I walk away and leave it on a positive note.
Agree to disagree, either way now you know why I mostly have you on ignore. I cannot trust you to stay logically or emotionally consistent and all discussion ends up being a giant waste of energy.

South Africa will toe the line as soon as anyone barks in the direction of ANC.

South Africa is part of BRICS, so it is going to fence sit as much as it can so there is no economic fallout from this whole crisis. Not saying it is right or wrong. SA will service the position which gives it the best outcome.
SA sucks on every teat it can muster.... it cannot afford to take sides but if it does it will choose BRICS.

There are two sides in this conflict, Russia and Ukraine, To get balanced propaganda I want to hear from both.

Outside agencies, as quite correctly pointed out here, all have their own agenda - particularly China and India.

If DSTV only broadcast a Ukranian news channel, the pro-Russians would be having a cadenza.

There will not be a nuclear war or fallout.

I'm more concerned about Putin trying to rattle a saber and set off a nuke over some uninhabited part of the world, then use that to scare the rest of the world in toe-ing his line.

Alright, so the Azov are smearing their bullets with lard? What's the deal here, exactly?

And naturally, the National Guard will post vids of their units regardless if they're Azov or not...
For fighting the Muslim Chechens. Propaganda to stoke fear in the enemy.

Which side... It's not clear.

I think he is trying to say, in a very sarcastic way, that because Twitter is pointing out that this post goes against their TOS (which is arguably correct because it is glorifying extremists being violent against those they hate) means that Twitter does not really pick sides.
