I tend to avoid the toxic threads on MyBB hence I haven't posted in here. But I'll say what's going on is very delicate. Russia unilaterally redrawing borders in Eastern Ukraine and their subsequent invasion is wholly unacceptable and Putin isn't covering himself in glory. But he has taken advantage of some weak Western leadership. I get that he's afraid of Ukraine joining NATO but he can't dictate their foreign policy for them or what direction they want to align themselves with, even without joining NATO. And this narrative of "de-Nazifying" Ukraine is an utter load of rubbish. I've just yet to see a convincing argument for justifying this invasion (spoiler alert: their isn't) from a Russian apologist. South Africa is full of these apologists pushing their double standards.
At the end of the day you are ignoring the one thing in deciding borders that matters the most, power.

The old borders of Ukraine was decided with power, the current borders were decided with power.... the new borders will be decided with power as well as potentially demography.

How acceptable anyone not directly involved in this finds it is frankly put irrelevant.

A visual deterrent, no, they have ‘shared’ satellite and aerial intelligence. It will only serve Russian’s perceived enemies more targets to strike, the only reason Russia would have an interest to move nuclear assets to and within Ukraine is with the intention to establish missile bases like they did within Crimea, this being said, to also remind those who like to pick on NATO’s ‘newly’ established missile bases. All these nations, all-inclusive, like to bargain with their striking capabilities.

Russia had a lot to say about the anti-ballistic base established in Romania some years ago. You see, this particular site which can launch anti-ballistic missiles is also capable to launch ballistic missiles, though I have no idea about the perimeters and which nuclear ordnance it can accommodate. Russia, though, believes it is a threat to their sovereignty.

Come to think about all this... the UN is very anti-productive.
When have they ever been productive in these situations?

We all remember Rwanda and Bosnia...

I am no expert, but that did not look legit.

That tank seemed to be already knocked out? Camera man standing in the wide open taking footage.

Russian tank not doing maneuvers or counter attacking with its "light" weapons?

Maybe I'm wrong, but....
Its not burning so according so according to rule of thumb its not dead. It looks more like they are destroying and abandoned / damaged tank to ensure that it is not recoverable or spare worthy.

Where did you get that from...a WW2 movie?

Why would a working tank be abandoned?

A damaged tank cannot be field stripped for any vital usable "spares".

I don't think the invasion is justified but there is a lot more to the story

The tank was abandoned (hatch is open), they disabled it further with the NLAW strike.

It think Putin has lit a fire under many western countries and institutions that were drifting off into nationalism (think Brexit). Now NATO becomes more relevant then ever before and previously neutral countries like Sweden and Finland are wondering if they will be gobbled up next
