Have to hand it to Putin. He has managed to achieve what the Americans have not been able to achieve for decades. Germany increasing their contribution to NATO. Heck, even the Green’s in Germany are behind NATO now and increasing Germany’s defence spending. And the Green’s have changed their attitude to Germany’s nuclear power. Even Turkey are now changing their stance.

On Saturday, the post-cold-war era officially ended. Europe and especially Germany have now accepted that it’s not possible to deal with Russia as a normal trading partner.

Absolutely everything. Russia needed the goodwill of the ethnic Russian population for this invasion to work. Unfortunately for them they don't have it referring to the recruitment station and excalating to cluster bombing civilian areas is not helping. I have no issue with that warhead which was probably targetted at the government building except that it missed. I have a huge problem with cluster bombs in civilian areas due to their indiscriminate nature.
