European parliament president has just given a VERY hard hitting speech. She has ZERO love for Putin and anyone associated with him.
...fiery ...like that dude that put a bullet through his head in 1945...in that bunker....

Did it ever occur to you that majority of Ukrainians might prefer ties with the West, not Russia. And that they might've been very happy for Yanukovych being taken down in return of free trade agreement and visa free Europe?

Everybody here is so busy being expert on USA/NATO/Russian politics and propaganda and mostly no one ever thinks of how is life without freedom of speech and human rights. If Ukraine becomes a Russian puppet state as Belarus, there won't be any democratic elections in near future, to ever get out of it.

Zimbabwe has more freedom of press than Russia, and people here are criticizing MSM and defending dictator :-/
The country was so terbulent.... even the Ukrainians could not decide whether or not to join

And he said quite plainly where the other super powers stand, ie: no direct intervention is going to be forthcoming.
..yet. NATO or EU will have to intervene at some stage. If Ukraine falls, the whole of Europe is fahrked.

They won't. Its a severe escalation no one wants and if they take Ukraine, Russia is stuck with the same problem of Nato directly on a border on a major front, not to mention a very unstable base/staging/border. Likely Russia will at most, force it to be neutral or carve a new buffer zone, both insufficient to force NATO or the EU to get directly involved.

Putin is neither crazy nor stupid.... this is the only thing that could possibly be his long term goal.

To the attention of the media and other information resources
print version
February 24, 2022
In recent hours, the number of cases of dissemination by the media and other information resources operating on the Internet of unverified and unreliable information has significantly increased.
Please note that media editorial offices are required to establish their authenticity prior to the release (broadcast) of materials in accordance with Article 49 of the Mass Media Law.
Roskomnadzor informs the media, information resources that when preparing their materials and publications regarding the conduct of a special operation in connection with the situation in the Lugansk People's Republic and the Donetsk People's Republic, they are obliged to use information and data received by them only from official Russian sources.
We remind you that the dissemination of knowingly false information entails liability under Article 13.15 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation in the form of an administrative fine of up to 5 million rubles.
The dissemination of false information on the Internet will result in the immediate blocking of such materials by Roskomnadzor in accordance with Art. 15.3 of Federal Law No. 149-FZ "On Information, Information Technologies and Information Protection".
We emphasize that it is the Russian official information sources that have and disseminate reliable and up-to-date information.
Yup. And that's Russia's internet regulator telling folks that if they publish anything that hasn't been approved by Big Brother, they'll be getting a 5 million Ruble fine.

Listening to the European president, I get the feeling if it was up to her there'd be European boots on the ground in Ukraine already

There are currently 4 NATO countries on the border of Ukraine.

Putin going to invade those too ?

Lots of reports of people in Europe joining the fight in Ukraine. If it’s true, wouldn’t Russia consider that an act of aggression/war? They may not directly be representing the NATO nations, but their countries are definitely going to be held responsible for what they do in the Ukraine.
It’s the same as kids going to fight in Syria, but now people are being encouraged to join.

A fool would blindly trust "MSM".
The best one can do is watch a number of outlets and form your own conclusion
Agreed. Although I stopped watching CNN back in 2003 when they chearleaded on the Gulf War. It was a real WTAF moment.
