Looks like Mariupol might be taken?

❗️Russian Ministry of Defense - The forward detachments of the DPR reached the border of the Donetsk region and connected with the Russian forces, which took control of the areas along the coast.

Well, you may have your views on the EU, but at the moment they are bankrupting the Russian people.

Just because of one crazy guy who should be locked up asap.
They are prepared for that, they finalized plans last year to transition to a new digital currency.

Investors are like gamblers, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.
In 1999, Raven, a six-year-old chimpanzee, became the 22nd most successful money manager in the USA, outperforming more than 6,000 professional brokers on Wall Street. The chimp created her own index of stocks by throwing darts at a list of 133 internet companies.

I don't agree, IMO Putin has lost his marbles.

Have you seen how he sits at the table, 10m minimum away from everyone else ?

I seriously believe that he has become unhinged and irrational.

Just like Hitler in his final days.
He didn't want to get the Rona, or, Rona didn't want to get him..

Looks fake.

Look at the varying font in the first 2 paragraphs, and grammar:

Yeah I would tend towards that as well...

Also the fact that it claims to halt deliveries of vehicles already in Russia to dealerships, just seems odd.

I could buy them all halting deliveries to the country from Europe etc.

Not fake

Volkswagen, the second largest carmaker in the world, temporarily paused the delivery of cars already in Russia to local dealerships, amid a supply chain crisis worsened by the conflict in Ukraine.

The news was reported by Russia’s RIA news agency on Monday, citing a company statement.

A spokesperson for VW said last week that it would halt production for several days this week at two German factories after a delay in getting parts made in Ukraine.

Separately, Swedish firm Volvo said it had suspended car shipments to the Russian market until further notice as sanctions start to exert pressure on Moscow's economy.

The company said it had made the decision because of "potential risks associated with trading material with Russia, including the sanctions imposed by the EU and US".

They are fighting in southern and eastern Ukraine. These areas range from majority Russian to significantly Russian. That is the likely reason as to why they are being ''soft''. They are fighting - and killing - the very people they claim they wanted to protect and liberate.

If the comments being made by captured Russian POWs are also to be believed, a lot of the Russian soldiers are conscripts who do not want to be there or are otherwise confused as to why they are there, which can further explain the less than stellar performance and slow progress. Low morale.
Yup, that’s only until nato joins in. Once nato joins, the Russians will up their game.

"Economic wars quite often turn into real ones," former Russian President Medvedev says

Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has lashed out against remarks by French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire, who earlier said that France was waging an economic war against Russia over its invasion of Ukraine.

“Watch your tongue, gentlemen,” Medvedev, who is the current deputy Chairman of Russia’s Security Council tweeted on Tuesday. “Don’t forget that in human history, economic wars quite often turned into real ones.”

Earlier on Monday, Le Maire said in an interview with French broadcaster FranceInfo that his country and the EU would “launch total economic and financial war against Russia.”

Temper, temper...

it started long before that,

more on the "mysterious snipers" here

The Strategic Culture Foundation is an online journal registered in Russia that is directed by Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) and closely affiliated with the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. One of its core tactics is to publish Western fringe thinkers and conspiracy theorists, giving them a broader platform, while trying to obscure the Russian origins of the journal

Just don't know what is true. The old days were wars fought primarily with bullets and bombs. Today countries take advantage of our dependency (addiction) to information to exploit their target audiences. In peace time we are constantly having to second guess and fact check media reports due to their misleading and lies. How much more so in war time does this apply. The difference here is that while in peace time time msm has control over what is real or false and they are the ones playing the game. In war time the roles are reversed and it is the media who are being played.

Psst, konfab, you see this?

Help a brother out, pal, what does this mean?
It means exactly what it says. It is censorship. No different than OFCOM calling "anthropogenic global warming" "settled science" and censoring making a TV program on it that questions the narrative. Biological sex is about as settled and uncontroversial piece of science you can get, yet OFCOM will quite happily air a program that tells people that a man can give birth.

The problem of fake news cannot be solved with regulators because regulators are as human as the people they want to regulate.

The election was judged free and fair by international observer

As has the USA, the UK and other counties. Cambridge Analytica anyone. After Yanukovych was overthrown it was the US who decided what the makeup of the new government should be.

My posts are not. Can't speak for anyone else

I did not say the election was rigged ... just the main protagonist in it was.

For most of the first two decades after independence, ethnic Russians have lived peacefully with Ukrainians and the country’s other ethnic minorities.

But that changed in 2010 when Viktor Yanukovych, a politician from Donetsk, became Ukraine’s president. Though he did not state outright that he preferred a pro-Russian future for Ukraine, many of his policies marked a move away from the pro-European policies of his predecessors and played into Vladimir Putin’s designs on Ukraine.

Ukraine was on track to sign an association agreement with the European Union in 2013. Instead, Yanukovych decided to join an economic union with Russia.
This set off mass protests around the country that resulted in Yanukovych’s being ousted. Putin then annexed Crimea on the pretext of protecting ethnic Russians living on that peninsula.

Politicking by nature is all about meddling , on all sides. I do not think that any honest politician will go far in his profession, seems that too much of the electorate prefers to hear lies and propaganda , that will make them feel better and give them hope. That is not exclusive to any specific country.

This is why, getting Metadata from media is so important. Geolocation, time, equipment.

You can legit render a ruskie tank into your back yard, and photoshop it enough to fool 99% of people.

Faking Metadata, is slightly more difficult.

they often amplify dissident voices and sadly also post crap, but Stephen Cohen was an expert in Russia and Soviet history, listen to what he had to say.

Listen to the "fck the eu" phone call, that coup was instigated. US name all over it.
