I don't know about the environment you work in. I have seen and used OK loads of times in the office. If I'm on a call and someone is asking me something I can reply by showing OK / Shap / wave palm left and right or upside down thumb...

I answered this already. We agree that there are institutions and comments all over the place promoting people based solely on racial lines, not so.

Therefore, if people can express support for black power, then so can white people (for white power). Like I said, it's distasteful and wrong, but its even more wrong when it's only wrong for one racial group.

It goes like this:

/Right-wing person A flashes the OK hand symbol on TV
/Left-wing person B says Hey that's a racist symbol, these days
/Right-wing person A says how dare you good sir I am outraged that you would defame my good name and take a perfectly harmless gesture and twist it don't you realize I'm 1/20th Cherokee etc etc
/Media outrage ensues
/Right-wing trolls react to media outrage by talking about how oppressive and hysterical the left-wing have become that they can even take something as innocent as an OK gesture and turn it into racism, they just see racism everywhere, see the left are the REAL oppressors of free speech.
