Just for clarity,

I have no issue with him being disciplined for his antics. I doubt anyone does. It's the punishment and how it was brought about to be an issue I have an issue with. It only became an issue when a white guilt lady took to twitter about it indicating that it's a racist signal.

It's then save to assume if it wasn't for her and other white guilt libtards, this would never have broken the headlines and nothing would have come of it. That I have an issue with.

IOW, if nobody had spotted him, nothing would have happened. Thanks cap'n obvious. Live by the sword, die by the sword.

They are not similar scenarios.

Similar enough, the Coast Guard is a branch of the United States armed forces, I would expect discipline and professionalism would be considered of prime importance, especially when dealing with the public..

The Coast Guard Core Values are:

Honor: Integrity is our standard. We demonstrate uncompromising ethical conduct and moral behavior in all of our personal actions. We are loyal and accountable to the public trust.
Respect: We value our diverse workforce. We treat each other with fairness, dignity, and compassion. We encourage individual opportunity and growth. We encourage creativity through empowerment. We work as a team.
Devotion to Duty: We are professionals, military and civilian, who seek responsibility, accept accountability, and are committed to the successful achievement of our organizational goals. We exist to serve. We serve with pride.

The whole world could spot him... nothing needs to happen. You and your fascist commi socialist collective want someone strung up cos you've taken 'offense' to something you were told and therefore assumed was offensive, and now even after seeing the facts, you still demand blood cos, in your words, 'its inappropriate'. Your collective will be so proud.

He's the one who set out to trigger liberals, and now you're pissy because it worked?

Yeah the fallout quite drastic, but he still did it out of his own free will.

Are there not symbols/gestures for black power/culture that get used all the time?

You're missing the point... this is how its playing out so far
a) Offensive taken cos we were told its offensive and therefore are offended
b) Here is evidence to show you why its not offensive and you have no need to be offended
c) Well, we're offended that we were offended... kill him
d) He did it to himself

Utter nonsense. He was trolling, it's clear as day. He set out to cause offense and it worked, and now he has to man up and take the consequences.

I'm sure millions spotted him... so your standpoint is worthless.

By the US coast guard? Care to provide examples?

No, I mean in general. I see institutions for advancement of blacks in various area's, I see things on TV where people say things like, "it's a good time to be alive and be black", and just wonder if the word "white" replaced the word "black" if it wouldn't automatically be construed as racist.

Probably although but not too many similarities in this situation.
