Well in case you haven't noticed, almost all English-speaking white South Africans can trace their lineage back to the UK, just like white Australians. Moreover, l will let you guess the origins of the people who established a permanent settlement in Jamestown, Virginia in 1607. Just because people are geographically far away does not mean you have nothing in common with them.

Very easy. I'm 100% South African and i would move to the US and support them 101% if i could. I love the country and the people. I'de be chasing anti-US propagandists down the road. Not sure why but I've always felt the US ethos, patriotism and just the whole country is very welcoming and gives you that warm fuzzy feeling of being able to live a comfortable life while helping rid the world of terrorists.

Agreed. It is indeed another crazy country, but at least, there are opportunities for growth, even in between all the current craziness. If there is one country that will recover, defeat the craziness and continue to build again, it is America. South Africa, on the other hand, will have no chance.

Well yes. We have family there, but we are also looking elsewhere up north above the equator.
America is mad at times, but there is a place for everyone really to fit in. MIght not be my first choice, but if my kids have a better life for themselves and their families, then awesome.
Better than this corrupt, load-shedding, BBBEEEEEEEE-focused country where everything is still about race and the government does nothing for the people who vote for them. Or anyone else.

So, America opened their borders to the world today. People globally can now apply for visas and travel there. However, it seems South Africa may remain on the US s**t list. Visa applications for South Africans are still closed with a large Pink warning on their website. Interesting....
