Keep dreaming. I don't think the IRS has been ignoring crimes.

  • The complaint alleges "inappropriate efforts to influence" the agency's audit of Trump's tax returns, according to a court filing from the House Ways and Means Committee.
  • According to The Post, the person accused of trying to interfere with the audit is a political appointee at the Treasury Department.
  • "The president's and vice president's tax returns are kept in a top-secret vault," one Justice Department veteran told Insider. "It's code-word-protected, the whole nine yards, and not just anyone can get in there. There are very few people — the head of the Treasury, the head of the IRS — who have access."

Na don't actually give a crap because I'm secure enough in my racial identity to understand that I'm not a victim so this kind of straw-man, willfully obtuse, sensationalist outrage porn doesn't get my jimmies a'flappin'. But you do you Chicken Little.

Judge Napolitano Schools Fox News on Trump's SCOTUS ‘Defeat’

Multiple hosts and pundits tried to paint the Supreme Court decision on Trump’s tax returns as a “victory” for the president. Fox News’ Senior Judicial Analyst wasn’t having it.

Fox News was ready to declare “victory” for President Donald Trump on Thursday morning after the Supreme Court ruled by a 7-2 margin that he must turn over his tax returns to the Manhattan District Attorney. But then Judge Andrew Napolitano stepped in to say not so fast.

“It sounds like in a strange way that might lead to victory for the president because if it goes back to the lower courts it would seem that any further action would be postponed until after the election,” anchor Jon Scott said shortly after the ruling came down.

But Fox’s Senior Judicial Analyst had a different view. “It means that the president of the United States—President Trump and all of his successors and any of his predecessors for that matter—is not immune from criminal prosecution and is not immune from complying with the ordinary process,” Napolitano explained. Because of that, he argued, “This is a defeat for the president.”

US politics: Trump rages after supreme court verdict over tax records – live updates

An activists stands near a newly painted Black Lives Matter mural outside of Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue in New York City.

Speaking to reporters before leaving for Florida, Trump also accused Joe Biden of copying his campaign platform with the Democrat’s “buy American” proposal.

“He plagiarized from me but he can never pull it off. He likes plagiarizing,” Trump said, apparently referring to a 1987 scandal focusing on plagiarism allegations against Biden that doomed his first presidential campaign.

“It’s a plan that is very radical left but he says the right things because he’s copying what I’ve done. But the difference is he can’t do it, and he knows he’s not doing that.”

Biden unveiled a $700 billion plan to invest in American industry yesterday. Speaking at a metalworks in Pennsylvania shortly after releasing the proposal, Biden said, “Time and time again, working families are paying the price for Donald Trump’s incompetence.”

According to the Washington Post, some of the president’s allies were frustrated that Biden released his proposal before Trump unveiled his similar “buy American” plan, which has been held up for months due to internal White House objections.

So Trump is essentially accusing Biden of plagiarizing a plan that has not yet been released.

Trump advisers fracture over Roger Stone pardon
The president signals he's prepared to shield his longtime adviser from prison time, but Stone has little support in the White House.

Roger Stone is headed to prison next week unless Donald Trump intervenes. And a chorus of outside allies is pressing the president to do just that — over the wishes of White House and campaign aides who don’t like Stone and think Trump has nothing to gain by helping him.

Both camps expect Trump will at least split the difference by commuting Stone’s sentence, according to interviews with nine sources familiar with the discussions. A commutation would keep Stone from behind bars without wiping his record clean.

But Trump being Trump, no one knows where he’ll land ahead of Stone’s Tuesday commitment date.

Doctors, teachers push back against Trump calls to reopen schools

Trump on Friday threatened to re-examine federal funding and tax-exempt status for schools that resist opening.

Graduating high school students watch former US President Barack Obama deliver a virtual commencement address to millions of high school seniors who will miss graduation ceremonies due to the coronavirus. Schools across the country are now debating how and whether to reopen later this year.

Groups representing the nation's doctors, teachers and top school officials on Friday pushed back against pressure from President Donald Trump to fully reopen schools in the United States despite a surge in coronavirus cases, saying science must guide the decisions.

"Public health agencies must make recommendations based on evidence, not politics," the American Academy of Pediatrics, two national teachers' unions and a school superintendents' group said, following days of threats by Trump to choke off federal education funds if schools do not open their doors for the upcoming academic year.

"We should leave it to health experts to tell us when the time is best to open up school buildings, and listen to educators and administrators to shape how we do it," AAP, the American Federation of Teachers, the National Education Association and the School Superintendents Association said in a joint statement.
