Only one side of the fence makes a big deal out of these issues as a political matter, and indeed the grievance on the side of the fence that makes these issues political is that the other side doesn't want to acknowledge these issues as being political. Only one side is guilty of hypocrisy insofar as they fail to call these things out on both sides. The other side's selective calling-out is merely to expose the hypocrisy, but failing to do it on both sides is itself not an exhibition of a double standard.A good dose of honesty is needed on this forum.
When someone is sexist, or racist, or homophobic, or transphobic generally those that disagree with that persons politics, calls him/her out. Those that agree, generally keep quiet.
I can think of the sexist comments made about Greta, or AOC, or Kayleigh, or when there was an actual Nazi on this forum who took a quote from Mein Kampf and tweaked it to threaten me. Those that did the calling out stuck to their tribe, in general. Some outliers.
