They didn't even have to lie or falsify anything. They were instructed by the CDC to use COVID as cause of death if tested positive. Tests have been proven to be overly sensitive and have a high rate of false positives due to recently discovered flaws.

It means technically even if you died of a clear alternate cause, but you had COVID at the same time, it's still listed as a COVID death. For most of the pandemic, the CDC instructed doctors to classify all deaths -- including Gunfire and Vehicle-related deaths -- as COVID-19 if the victim tested positive. Due to flaws in testing, there was also a very high false positive rate. That means that most of the police who died to a bullet or car accident would be counted as COVID. I already showed evidence of this in this thread.
