Today we have democracy, the means if production literally belongs to all people, anyone can by shares in a public company.

I'm sure he would be shocked by a great many things. You forget why there was a big push for universal health care back then. Also this is perfect example of my point of people not understanding what socialism actually is.

If the US tried to adopt Norwegian policies the whole economy would collapse. It is nothing to do with your silly picture post. If you understood even some of the factors you would easily understand this. There is a lot that can happen once tech advances enough, but for now it's not feasible.

If any country tried they would collapse(as all socialism does). Socialists keep using norway as example of it working but have never bothered to find out where the money comes from to keep it running... Their oil wealth is insane, they have so much cash invested around the globe generating money to throw around on their people(yet again, capitalism funds it, difference here is, none of that oil wealth is invested locally, or it would have ended decades ago the same way all socialism does, empty pockets, which is why they don't see themselves as socialists, its all capitalism making the money for em)... but even with the insane wealth oil wealth supporting it, they predict they will start running in the red within the next 50years and have to rework all the policies.

Funnily enough trees do explode during fires. It depends on their oil content. Also yes the management..

The area burned by fires in California has declined over 80% since the arrival of Europeans, which is not necessarily a good thing.

Nah Engineering isn't right leaning. It was pretty balanced years ago. You even had you're crazy socialists back then. You could argue that if the demographics are not 50/50 male & female that there might be a slight shift just because of the difference between sexes. I found that as you move away from factual toward more abstract studies the more you encounter left-wing focus. So yeah he is correct with his statement about academia being majority left leaning.

Nothing wrong with that picture on FB news shares. 32% for Breitbart and Fox combined. The other 68%? Ideally you'd want 40/20/40 left-wing, moderate overlap, right wing split.

Go sum up all university students and then calculate the percentage of a) engineering & science, b) economy & law c) Humanities. This will not at all be an accurate exercise, but the result might surprise you.
