Now I know where Sarah Huckabee got her fully-intact sense of humor from

I did. They are conflating the NSC numbers with pandemic response team numbers. The pandemic response team was a smaller team that reported to the NSC.

Results do speak for themselves, the 230 000 deaths would indicate that the pandemic response faltered miserably.

It is well dissected here -

Just prior to his action to cut the pandemic response team, he also signed a bill that reduced funding for pandemic response by $282 million.

He was in charge if the stockpile for 38 months. He reduced the funding of the pandemic response team during that 38 months.
The article you listed quoted a few experts giving their opinion. Contradicting opinions were also given.

No the results do not speak for themselves. You have nothing to compare it with. You can't say that because the response team was consolidated into other teams it negatively impacted the response. You could even argue it improved it. As an example take silos in business vs cross-skilled groups when it comes to project efficiency.

And as Trump was quoted in that article.
"Some of the people we cut, they haven’t been used for many, many years," Trump said during a Feb. 26 briefing on the coronavirus response.

"I’m a business person — I don’t like having thousands of people around when you don’t need them," he said. "When we need them, we can get them back very quickly."
This is true. You can form a task team very quickly. This is what was done in other countries as well.

No it didn't fail.

I guess you also missed this part?

You're just speculating that if the structure remained the same it would magically be better because reasons.
Though the unit was disbanded, not all members of the team left. Some moved to other units in the NSC, like those focused on weapons of mass destruction and international organizations, per The Washington Post.

To those who claim that Biden has dementia, tell me, what type of dementia does he have *exactly*. It needs to be a form that does not progress over time as Biden has made verbal gaffes since 2008 at least. So it needs to be a form of dementia that remains constant over a twelve year period at least.

If Biden has dementia now, it means he had it in 2008 too, but hasn't gotten any worse. Name the type of dementia that doesn't get worse over twelve years.

You would think a forum based around tech, would have a large % of people with brains. This poll shows that to be as far from the truth as possible.
Yeah it's surprising that so many people without brains are voting for Biden.

Fully agree.
The rwnj troll factor is huge, though - especially in this thread.

Damn, I was really hoping they would actually win a war for a change, but sadly they surrendered in just 8 months.

The lefties still pushing the Carona angle is such a stupid strategy.

Fatigue about Carona has set in with the general population. Everyone is over it and just want to get on with their lives.

Everyone knows the high death rate in the US is because of the Democrat mayor's criminal negligence of using old age homes with particularly vulnerable old people for Carona patients.
I am sure those in El Paso are feeling very fatigued with COVID as they have run out of ICU beds.

Hang on, you are making the assumption that the frequency of "gaffes" has not increased over time.

Maybe I just don't understand how the regional politics work, but I'm not sure what I'm supposed to make of a judge opinion about hospital beds somewhere in the middle of nowhere about Carona.

You would think a large % of people who claim to have brains would know that we have maybe a dozen yanksville voters here :whistling:
