The wheels falling off ...

Rudy Giuliani announces Sidney Powell is no longer ‘a member of the Trump legal team’

sidney-powell-2.jpg

There appears to be trouble in legal paradise as President Donald Trump’s lawyers are now attacking each other and using the press to do it.

NBC News reporter Garrett Haake tweeted a statement from Rudy Giuliani Sunday evening after Powell went after Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp (R) for being “in” on the election conspiracy. Powell announced she was going to “blow up” Georgia, presumably metaphorically, and claimed it would be “biblical” in proportion.

“Sidney Powell is practicing law on her own. She is not a member of the Trump Legal Team. She is also not a lawyer for the President in his personal capacity,” said Giuliani.

Sidney Powell mocked for epic firing: ‘Imagine being axed for craziness’ by Giuliani

“This attempt by Trump’s legal team — Giuliani, [Jenna] Ellis — to distance themselves from Sidney Powell‘s insane conspiracy theories is going to be super awkward next time — oh, I don’t know — say, Trump Giuliani, or Ellis — tweet about the very same insane conspiracy theories,” CNN correspondent Jake Tapper replied.

Democratic strategist Adam Parkhomenko tweeted, “Trump is a loser. Sidney Powell is what a loser shat out.”

Attorney heading up Trump campaign's Wisconsin recount effort is seeking to throw out his own vote

MADISON — The Dane County attorney overseeing the Trump campaign's effort to recount and disqualify ballots in the state's largest counties wants to throw out his own vote.

Jim Troupis, a former Dane County judge and Cross Plains attorney who is representing the Trump campaign's recount effort, voted early using the state's in-person absentee option — one of a group of voters whose ballots the Trump campaign has asked election officials to deem illegal.

Troupis and his wife appear on exhibits he submitted to the Dane County Board of Canvassers on Sunday, during the county's third day of retallying ballots. The exhibits include lists of voters who voted in a manner the campaign alleges is illegal, which the Board of Canvassers has rejected. The information was provided by Dane County to both campaigns.

Troupis would not explain why he voted early or if he believes casting a ballot this way is illegal.

I think that, in a way, America dodged a bullet.

Just imagine what it would have been like if Trump and co. had been in any way competent.

Fascism expert explains how Trump is following the playbook to destroy America before leaving office

President Donald Trump is making several moves ahead of leaving office on Jan. 20, 2021, to destroy President-elect Joe Biden’s term in office, historian Ruth Ben-Ghiat explained in part of a video series Sunday.

Ben-Ghiat explained that she started the series of videos because she knew that Trump would try to cause as much destruction as possible before officially leaving office.

She cited a story by New York Times reporter Michael Shear, making it clear that Trump is using his final days to make Biden’s life impossible.

“Watch very carefully what Trump and the GOP are doing right now,” she instructed. “These end-stage follies, as I can them, are revealing. They’re trying to loot and plunder the Earth. They’re trying to rush through oil drilling leases in Alaska. They’re trying to make sure their secrets are kept, and they’re trying to make the world as unsafe as possible so that Biden will have difficulty restablizing foreign relations.”

She said that it’s akin to former Chilean President Augusto Pinochet, who had a year before he had to be out of office. That year, he worked to damage the incoming democracy, which was Chile’s first after Pinochet’s junta took over 17 years before. He worked to keep human rights violations secret, made it impossible to purge staff he installed, and stacked the courts.

In his book, Pinochet alleged the democracy was all a conspiracy against him.

It sounds eerily familiar.

See the video from Ben-Ghiat below:

Corrupt GSA holding up Transition Funds.

Congressman who oversees GSA’s Emily Murphy bashes her for denying transition: ‘She is a Trump loyalist’

Emily-Murphy-Screen-Grab.jpg

“My subcommittee oversees GSA. I know Admin Murphy. She is a Trump loyalist, through and through,” said Connolly in a Sunday evening Twitter-thread. The chairmanship he references is for The Subcommittee on Government Operations.

Connolly cited a 2017 Washington Post report about Trump’s D.C. hotel being a key part of the deal to move the FBI headquarters out of the district to a larger location. Selling the FBI building to developers meant there could be a risk Trump would have competition for his property.

For now, the Trump Organization continues to make its lease payments. A GSA spokesperson said that “the tenant has remained in full compliance with the lease.”

GSA Administrator Emily Murphy told lawmakers at a Jan. 28 hearing of the House Transportation Committee's Subcommittee on Economic Development, Public Buildings, and Emergency Management that GSA has 45 days to determine whether the candidate is up to par once the Trump Organization finds a "qualified transferee."

"There's a seven-part test for qualified transferees," Murphy said. "It goes towards the character of the party, their financial responsibility, and their past history of maintaining historic property."

If GSA doesn't make a determination within 45 days, the Trump Organization can transfer the lease and consider it approved.

First, no it isn't... Remember when we were talking about Alabama Republicans passing a bill to ban abotrions, in essence to get the case in front of the SC? Yeah, well they figured rape wasn't a reason for an abortion, nor was incest and the woman had *no* choice in the matter.
Good thing I am not an Alabama Republican then.

Second, Jesus, the piety of hanging a lifetime of 'consequence' *all* on a decision a woman makes in the moment, while giving the man a hall-pass when it comes to contraception in that same moment is breathtaking.
Plenty of decisions people make in the moment have a lifetime of consequence. Having one drink too much and getting into your car. Buying that house you cannot afford. Choosing to spend 8 years of your life and go into thousands of rands of student debt for a degree in feminist botanical poetry.

This is what we call being an adult. Adults are meant to be able to make such decisions and be accountable to them. But we all know that when it comes to choosing to having sex, we cannot hold a woman accountable for their actions.

I told rietrot he was setting traps to keep folk in a lower economic caste yesterday... You're doing the same, except for women.
Let me get this straight. It is economic oppression to hold woman accountable for their actions? Yet it isn't economic oppression to hold men accountable for thier actions?

Not that progressives actually know what an economic trap is. For example, when they compassionately make it illegal to work for less than some wage, it certainly never has any negative economic effects on poor people.

And then there is really brilliant policies like requiring legal qualifications for the assistants at hair salons who wash people's hair.

Relates to the certification of shampoo assistants; requires applicants of such certificate to have completed a minimum of 500 hours of the required 1,000 hours of an approved course of study in cosmetology in a school duly licensed pursuant to the education law and requires such applicants to remain enrolled in such school until completion of such course.

Lol taking personal responsibility = hate.
No. Forcing women to have children they don't want/can't afford because your moral compass is broken is evil.

Forcing more unloved, starving, children to be born without caring what happens to them after their birth is evil.

The source of this evil is clear. Owning up to your inherent hatred of women and children is a start. It won't undo the damage, but it's a start.

Again, back to our regular programming where Lord Fontleroy Trumpington and his merry band of idiots continue to wage furious battle against reality.

If they didn't want or can't afford to have children, then why did they have sex?

Forcing more unloved, starving, children to be born without caring what happens to them after their birth is evil.
But killing them 3 months before they are born is not evil?

So the reason why you are insisting that children be killed is because you live them?

Is this the reality when we can actually state what a woman is? Because that is something that is deeply troubling to progressives.

Well some would argue that killing innocent children just because the mother doesn't "want" them is the real evil, but what do I know
