Yeah, but the fully entrenched MIC, which has bi-partisan support (defense contractors are experts at spreading their production facilities across various states) will always keep the system running.

Additionally, treaty obligations the world over, keep US troops entrenched in bases, that are veritable cash cows for the hosting regions.

The ME yearn deeply for US weapons, so will maintain the status quo.

Also, we live in the real world, so forever wars are what we have... If you're withdrawing from a region, you plan it. You don't cut and run like Donnie has... That's breeding ground for Al-Qaeda, ISIS and Russian expansion.
