The Mueller report contains new information about how the Russian government hacked documents and emails from Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign and the Democratic National Committee .

At one point, the Russians used servers located in the U.S. to carry out the massive data exfiltration effort, the report confirms.

Much of the information was previously learned from the indictment of Viktor Borisovich Netyksho, the Russian officer in charge of Unit 26165. Netyksho is believed to be still at large in Russia.

But new details in the 488-page redacted report released by the Justice Department on Thursday offered new insight into how the GRU operatives hacked.

So to be clear, you think reporting in 2019 which is ignorant of the redacted portions trumps what was uncovered when the unredacted version was released?

Russians have been quiet this election. Very quiet. They didnt boost the Hunter Biden laptop scam for Trump. Putin even openly supported Biden. I think they sensed the change in the wind and have tried to improve their relationship with the likely incoming administration.

The report on the justice department website still says Russia. Not sure what you're talking about. Also why would the US government impose sanctions when Russia had nothing to do with the hack. Unless you don't believe US intelligence. Intelligence Trump and the government relied on to impose those sanctions.

Did you not read the link? This information was released on November 3rd, 2020. I have no idea what the justice department website does or does not say, I only know what information was provided because of legally binding FOIA requests. And the new information shows that the Mueller team tried to nail Assange and Stone, but that there was a lack of evidence. "The most fundamental hurdles were factual ones". If the facts don't support your theory, then it's just speculation.
