I'm just listening to a NYT podcast: Trump has never stood in any election ever, prior to 2016. He has no idea how to lose. It does not fit into his world-view...
Indeed. His win in 2016 and 4 million more votes this time around can be safely attributed (as a major factor) to a rabid evangelical belt who hated the same people he does (mexicans rapists and so on). If it weren't for them, he wouldn't stand a chance.

Yeah, but they have serious gun control laws. That's an important consideration for Mr "John R. Lott, Jr. is the president of the Crime Prevention Research Center and the author of the new book, Gun Control Myths" writing an opinion piece.

And it should be mentioned that they had no complaints in 2016 when 33 million mail-in ballots were posted, and Hillary basically experienced what Trump is experiencing now during late counting. No... That was "the bestest, most powerful election ever" lol

I was amazed to discover that there is no ID check, even with in-person voting, in the UK. Don't know what it's like in the rest of the first world but I think fraud has always been easy in the US too, mail-in ballots or not.
Like SA, your name needs to be on the voters roll before you're allowed to step up to the polling booth, which means you would've had to register to vote in your area first.

Unlike SA, though, there's no verification to prove you are who you say you are, because like you've correctly stated, there is no requirement for a state-issued ID in the UK, because it apparently infringes on people's rights somehow (they'll refer you to the war, and how people were numbered, etc). Also, they don't mark your thumb or anything as a safety to ensure you don't go back later and vote under someone else's name. It's the UK, after all - the chances of there being more than one John Smith in your borough are freakishly high.

There's going to be a recount in Georgia though.

Which in my opinion is reasonable.

If it were the other way round I'm sure Trump would be screaming since usually there is a mandatory request required by law and usually follows the certification which is much later in the month.

Does this mean the awful colour scheme Trump had planned for Air Force 1 can be scrapped and the current scheme, selected by former First Lady Jackie Kennedy will remain?

Please let it be!
