Paywalled
This is why the CIA liaison officer requests a meeting with the SSA liaison officer where the CIA discusses what they have found. The SSA liaison officer then relays this information to operational management which will indicate to the SSA liaison officer that they need the CIA to stand down for x amount of time.

The reason the CIA did not stand down is most probably because of the reputation of the SSA and because it concerns their own citizens directly.

Wait, the SA army is bothering IS? Really? Last I heard, our army doesn't mean jack due to mismanagement, corruption and cANCer

The SAS Makhanda will form part of the small maritime contingent of the Southern African Development Community’s intervention brigade known as the SADC Mission in Mozambique or SAMIM. According to maritime experts, the strike craft probably has a maritime reaction group on board to act against any suspect vessels that might be involved in smuggling or the reinforcement of the insurgents in the area.

The first contingent of armoured vehicles from 43 SA Brigade, based north of Pretoria, was also visible as it moved through the border post of Ressano Garcia at Komatipoort at first light on Saturday. Trucks moving Casspir armoured personnel carriers, support vehicles and ambulances were posted on social media.

Where are these demands?

The fact that most of the meat you buy except for pork is Halaal due to pressure and this type of expansionist threat:

You see they either want to take over, or kill and take over.

Will not do well for that one guy in my local townhall meeting yesterday with the councillor demanding that a Mosque be built in a 99% Christian area.

So, when you think on it, the US can't share any evidence with the SA government especially if it was sourced locally cause in addition to protecting sources and methods, the US can't admit to local intelligence gathering.

if yes, why we are in BRICS?

PS: look at your SA passport, can you go to any western country "visa free"?

No, because the SA passport is the passport used by terrorists as it's so easy to get a fake.

The issue of South African passports being used by terrorists arose after it emerged that Fazul Abdullah Mohammed, the man responsible for the United States Embassy bombings in Nairobi, Kenya, in 1998 and who was killed at a checkpoint in Mogadishu, Somalia’s capital, last week, was carrying a South African passport.

Mohammed was the head of East African militant group al-Shabaab and also had strong links to al-Qaeda in the region. According to a terrorism expert at the Institute for Security Studies, Anneli Botha, “it comes down to corruption at [the department of] home affairs”.

“You can easily get your hands on a legal document through illegal means. I would start looking at the ease with which one can get a driver’s licence or birth certificate as well. If we had more of a focus on terrorism, home affairs officials would place more emphasis on ensuring that the person applying is the same person on the passport. But it’s not a matter of urgency to them.”

Aside from being able to obtain passports, the ease with which terrorists can get their hands on any fake documentation, such as identity documents, means that they can often use South Africa as a base from which to plan activities, she said.

Terrorists get SA passports. Written by My Office News on 16th May 2017. Posted in Crime Alert. Fifteen unused South African passports, some containing pictures of South Africans on an international terrorist watch list, have been seized from an al-Shabab courier in Tanzania. A police crime intelligence source told The Times that at least one ...

This threat is about the yacht, it goes against US sanctions and egg on their face that we are allowing the yacht to dock here, the US are just flexing

What happens to the SA economy if they decide to flex with this:

African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) Since its enactment in 2000, the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) has been at the core of U.S. economic policy and commercial engagement with Africa. AGOA provides eligible sub-Saharan African countries with duty-free access to the U.S. market for over 1,800 products, in addition to the more ...

That was 2015. Surely they still not doing it?

Jul 19, 2022 RICHARDS BAY, South Africa - Members of the South Africa National Defense Force, the New York Army National Guard and U.S. Africa Command began Exercise Shared Accord 2022, scheduled for July 12 ...

Shared Accord 2022 marks the fourth time the exercise was conducted in South Africa. Previous iterations here took place in 2011, 2013 and 2017. Shared Accord was last conducted in Rwanda in 2019 with COVID 19 forcing cancellations of the exercise in 2020 and 2021.

It seems that everyone is thinking that it is Islamic state will be doing the attacks. I really doubt this - they have no local active support in Muslim community. There may be some financial support but no support on the ground.

Oh?

(snip)

Ewi said Islamic State has sleeper cells in South Africa and has recruited South Africans into its ranks. Some of these extremists fought with the group in Syria, some are involved in Cabo Delgado, and others are lying low in various cities in the country. He advises Pretoria to tighten border control and surveillance, identify vulnerable populations and critical infrastructure, strengthen regional intelligence sharing and reinforce early response mechanisms.

(Snip)

What is worrying is that direct links between Islamic State elements in South Africa and those in Mozambique have already been detected. For example, security sources have revealed that two accomplices of Islamic State suspects in South Africa were identified by South African officials in a photograph which the Cabo Delgado insurgents recently posted. The two are linked to legal cases underway in South Africa.

The isis terrorists attacks were rooted on the war in Iraq and Afghanistan and targeted US and Europe

Not in Syria? ISIS stands for Islamic State In Syria. Known there as Daesh. But Al Shabaab, Al Queada, PAGAD, Qibla and others are all linked anyway

Interesting how this is following the US "foreign policy plan" for countries that don't want to work with the US and bow to the US will. Iran helps out Russia and look protests erupt in Iran, China won't actively step in against Russia and sanction Russia and look protests in China. Now South Africa won't seize a mega yacht and sanction Russia and suddenly we are under attack from ISIS. Also, we are receiving these warnings from all the US allies. Interesting indeed. And yes, I know the reasons for the protests but the US loves to ignite a violent powder keg in a country or to keep a current one going.

Countries that don't work with America? Amazing you think SA doesn't:
