Is the Russian yacht in SA?

And why would they warn a country because they abstained instead of embarrassing the country by letting the attack go ahead? Put on your thinking cap and take off the tinfoil hat.
There was no attack in the first place, the US pulled a fast one to undermine our government and intelligence services

There was no attack because of massive security after the US warning. Is this logic difficult for you?

Massive, it was just one helicopter
We dont have terror attacks in South Africa, there has been no isis attacks for years now anywhere in the world and why now in SA, the whole thing makes no sense

Got to this part:

That is just sad in this day and age.
Geez man, talk about The Victimhood!

@Craig_ below is a good example of jannie jammergat <sniff sniff>
“We are always fighting for visibility and we are always in danger, so me hearing of the terrorist attack [warning], it didn’t even bother me,” said Anold Mulaisho, an LGBTQ activist, told AFP. “Either way, if I die my family already rejected me anyway, so no one is gonna get to miss me.”

What proof do you have to say there wasn't any proof?

Just seems strange, it's like SA didn't care anyway because things went ahead anyway.

Does mentioning there would be a terrorist attack make the terrorists go away or be more cautious? I guess we'll never know.

There was heightened security with helicopters buzzing around.

Does mentioning there would be a terrorist attack make the terrorists go away or be more cautious? I guess we'll never know.

Yes. Terrorists rely on the element of surprise to attack and get away. If they know you're waiting for them, they don't act. The reason for OpSec by the security services.

The South African narrative was all over the show, from saying the US is just scare mongering to blaming them for letting 7 / 9 people get away being investigated.

I made a comment previously that this probably be a non-event simply for mentioning it. Also that the local authorities are so slow that it would be too late by the time they investigated ...

This brings us to a reasonableness test for the US:
What was the right thing to do? Keep quiet and allow a threat to continue for our authorities to investigate (given their stellar record in prevention), or put out the alert and protect?

Sandton or Somalia, same difference?
Saturday's blasts happened within minutes of each other, destroying buildings and vehicles in the vicinity.

The first hit the education ministry and then the second went off as medical teams arrived to deal with the aftermath, the Reuters news agency reports.
