US govt objects to xxx domain for internet porn

Five years of planning, haggling, and negotiating for the creation of a .xxx domain were recently derailed after the Commerce department objected; having received thousands of complaints from right-wing religious groups. This has again raised the hackles on many non-Americans, who suggest the United States should not have direct control over Internet governance (BBC).

Seems sorta idiotic if you ask me, if I was a right wing religious nut group I would be all for having the porn sites being named in a way that makes filtering so easy.

americans are notoriously short sighted. especially the right wing religious groups. "what we dont know about wont hurt us" attitude is really stupid. I'd say force every porn site out there to use the xxx domain. If not, get sued and/or sent to jail for it. Make a law about it. ffs, check what happend in the UK about that boy raping another boy. wtf... our kids (well at least your kids) would seriously suffer in the future.

Hell, I didn't even know what "draad trek" was till I was a couple of years into high school.
