[US] Gunman at large after UnitedHealthcare CEO fatally shot in ‘brazen targeted attack,’ police say

I don't know man. You support Trump. The guy who tried to stop peaceful transition when he lost the election. Floyd is small fry compared with that. Some self awareness please.
Yup and Floyd was a criminal remember and therefore got what he deserved, according to some here.

Trump, on the other hand.... Oh wait, let me rethink this one.

LAKELAND, Fla. (WFLA) — A Lakeland woman was charged Tuesday after police said she ended a call to an insurance company with the words, “Delay, Deny, Depose.”

In an arrest affidavit, the Lakeland Police Department said officers were contacted by the FBI on Tuesday, Dec. 10 regarding an alleged threat made over the phone.

Based on Boston’s statements, investigators said they believed she meant to threaten the insurance company “by using the UnitedHealthcare CEO’s homicide to her advantage.”

Boston was charged with threats to conduct a mass shooting or an act of terrorism, according to the affidavit.

So let's say someone threatens to shoot up a school... The threats shouldn't be taken seriously anymore because it's just hurty words?

Someone threatens to blow up a plane. Ignore because it's just hurty words?

To be fair, your examples would be considered a direct threat. The other arguably is implied requiring heightened context but also fear of genuine intent to be "taken seriously".

Lol, the hurty words thing seems to depend on who's saying them.

Lots of people were outraged that people could be arrested in the UK over "hurty word" threats of violence.

I wasn't, neither an I upset about a person being arrested in this case.

It's just the irony that amuses, as I doubt the people screaming about hurty words arrests in the UK would scream about this one.

Please don't be this dense.

There is world of difference between offensive speech and speech that is an incitement to violence.

Getting arrested and thrown in prison for teaching your girlfriend's pug a Nazi salute isn't quite the same as phoning an insurance company and making a threat of violence to them.

Threatening to burn down mosques and premises where migrants are accommodated, has nothing to do with Pugs.

But it's typical of right wingers - they're all about law and order until they're on the wrong side of it. Suddenly it's facism
and waaaaaaaaaaa....

We see it repeatedly.

I don't see how the words “Delay, Deny, Depose.” are a threat. They could very well be a comment regarding the company's service. Did she say anything else?

Near the end of the call, investigators said Boston could be heard stating, “Delay, Deny, Depose. You people are next.”

Maybe the "You people are next" part?

Yes that would change things a bit.

“We have no indication that he was ever a client of United Healthcare, but he does make mention that it is the fifth-largest corporation in America, which would make it the largest health care organization in America,” Kenny said in an interview that aired Thursday.

“So that’s possibly why he targeted that company,” Kenny said.

Did they not read his manifesto? His mother was apparently insured with them.
