That has absolutely nothing to do with this. Please can you demonstrate how this is not a trial via media. Just look at how cerebus and others have already made up their minds, and are not interested in any counter evidence.

Also, if this is just evidence gathering, it should not be in the media at all so the evidence is not tainted and the accused has a fair chance to counter the evidence. Yet, it seems that, once again, the media is being fed certain information to push their own narratives.

I mean as long as Donnie, and the WH, and half of his cabinet haven't confessed, repeatedly, on national television, I think y'all will get a fair break in the media.

Are you at all interested in the actual evidence that we know and is public? Even without any of these back room hearings, it's some really damning stuff. What do you think about the first 30 seconds of this clip?

This **** is all in public Emjay. These corrupt nincompoops Trump's surrounded himself with can't keep their arse straight from their elbow. They contradict each other and themselves and they'll lie on TV when we can all see exactly what they said, and they'll stab anyone else in the back to protect themselves, and they're arrogant about it. The *public* statements filed by the witnesses subpoenaed to Congress are also available to everyone. Do you think Matt Gaetz is acting in the public interest by interrupting a hearing and shouting for 45 minutes until he gets forcibly ejected?

The entire establishment is corrupt. But you only want to cry about it now, and after you backed a corrupt presidential candidate?

Sorry, cerebus. You complained about me dragging you down into the mud. I don't have to do a thing. You did it all by yourself.

So you admit that Trump is corrupt and Mulvaney told the truth about his quid pro quo then lied when he tried to walk it back? Why are you so upset about the impeachment then?

You first.

Edit:

Do you really have such a short memory? I said not too long ago that if Trump did something illegal, he should be impeached. However, this entire process is a sham, and just another political power play, with Pencil Neck in the middle of everything, once again.

Yes I admit that Trump is corrupt.

And that's why you are the biggest hypocrite on these forums.

But carry on crying about the corruption around Trump. You could have used this opportunity to admit that Washington is a complete (or even just the Biden family) swampfest and all about the political power plays, but you won't.

Just a reminder. This did not age well. And this is the guy that is spearheading the new impeachment "investigation".

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) says the signs of collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign are damning.

:X3:

Skip ahead to 3:30 if you don't have the time or stomach to sit through the entire clip.

Calling one's political adversaries names like Pencil Neck, demtards etc. is what's become of political discourse in the Trump era. Mr Trump has had a truly toxic influence over politics.

You can't say that unless you admit that everyone is equally toxic and someone should really look into everyone's toxicity because that's only fair.

Trump has normalised name-calling whereas, to my knowledge, no other president in US history has resorted to name-calling, because it is beneath the dignity of that office.

The idea isn't to tax the rich to death. In the US however, wealthy people (some of whom are obscenely wealthy) pay disproportionately little tax. Mr Trump's tax breaks have benefited mostly the rich, who don't actually need it. Mr Trump himself has a long history of tax avoidance, which is possibly one reason why he doesn't want his tax returns to be made public. I reckon that the true reason for his tax breaks was to save himself and his family taxes.

Tax isn't a zero sum game. Having good infrastructure and social security, benefits all who live in a country, not only the poor.

In the US, poor folk who can't afford medical insurance (possibly because they are unable to work precisely because of poor health) have no options. Even in South Africa one can get basic medical treatment at state hospitals. What Bernie is proposing is not that far-fetched. The US was making progress to having sustainable universal healthcare until Mr Trump came along and wrecked it because of his personal dislike of Obama, again letting his own ego get in the way of the interests of the country that he is meant to serve.

I think that a journalist should remind Trump during one of his press interviews: "Mr Trump, may I remind you that you are a public servant."

I can't wait for "Trump Care", oh no wait he won't be able to call it that because that would be another reason to Impeach!

Obama care is OK though. It's OK when we do it.

Republicans stage sit-in as new Ukraine details contradict Trump’s denials

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news...t-inquiry-biden-2020-democrats-latest-updates

A group of House Republicans have delayed the testimony of Pentagon official Laura Cooper in the impeachment inquiry by staging a sit-in of the secure area where she was supposed to appear, an apparent publicity stunt meant to distract from quid pro quo accusations against Trump.

These Republicans are obstructing congress. It's the kind of thing I'd expect from the EFF here in South Africa. Perhaps because Mr Trump and Mr Malema are birds of a feather.

It’s more than obstructing Congress.

SCIFs are secure facilities and there are protocols in place to prevent national security breaches from them. Breaking those protocols is breaking the law.

The protocols are specific about electronic devices and these dumbasses were tweeting from *inside* the SCIF... and you know someone told them they might have been committing a federal crime by the sheer volume of “tweet from staff” tweets that followed their interpretive dance, all to try cover themselves legally.

Gaetz is almost cartoonishly stupid, but I’m hearing they let Kevin McCarthy know what they were planning before they did it... He’s smart enough, but did nothing to stop them... The party of law and order are all-in on committing crimes to cover up for their clown president.
