A US Army soldier discussed bomb-making techniques and bombing a major American news network's headquarters, as well as named presidential candidate Beto O'Rourke as a possible target before being arrested this weekend, according to court documents released on Monday.

Nothing to see here. Just some stochastic right-wing terrorism.

How was he radicalised?

I am glad the FBI has focused on this brand of terrorism as of late, it certainly has helped prevent some potentially horrific attacks.

Trump ordered hold on military aid days before call with Ukrainian President, senior administration officials say

President Donald Trump asked his acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney to put a hold on millions in military aid to Ukraine roughly one week before a call with the Ukrainian president in which he pressured the country to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden's son, two senior administration officials said on Monday.

The Washington Post was first to report that Trump told Mulvaney to put a hold on almost $400 million in military aid for Ukraine.

Citing three senior administration officials with knowledge of the internal deliberations, the Post said officials at the Office of Management and Budget passed along Trump's request to the Pentagon and the State Department at an interagency meeting in mid-July.

According to the paper, administration officials were told to tell lawmakers that the delay in aid was the result of an "interagency process" without giving more information.

Glad they caught him early, sounds like he had some ambitious plans. Didn't see anything about him being radicalized, I admittedly did skim read. Good on the FBI. Wonder if it deserves a tweet from his highness?

Assuming it is true, which is a hazard these days, so what? It's entirely within Trump's prerogative to do so and pales in comparison to what the Dems did in 2016, which is ultimately what the pressure on Ukraine is about exposing. Meanwhile Trump has you and yours acting like total hypocrites and your hysteria will only serve to fuel the blowback that the Dems will suffer as a result of their behaviour.

Take a bow trumpites here - your guy is WHNSA now. Raise your tiny flags.

President Donald Trump said Wednesday he’ll appoint Robert O’Brien as his White House national security adviser, elevating the State Department’s top hostage envoy from relative obscurity to one of the most important jobs in U.S. government.

Meh, just another kid being used by their parents(and politicians) to push their agendas

Meanwhile... in dc, 'climate activists' are so busy trashing and throwing litter everywhere they're being arrested
The climate activists should really just kill themselves if they have any integrity at all.

@cerebus keep it up, it's working!

President Trump’s approval rating jumped to 53% Tuesday as Democrats push their impeachment proceedings. This is despite of the continued barrage of fake news and vicious media attacks since he won the 2016 election.

President Trump continues to break records with the US economy and he boasts the best foreign policy in decades. Trump is the first president in decades who has not brought the US into a new war.

President Obama’s approval rating at the same time in his presidency was 44% – Nine points behind President Trump’s number.

This is also despite national mainstream media reporting negatively on the highly successful President Trump 92% of the time.

Barack Obama had a cake walk with the media.

In August pollster John McLaughlin reported that his polling shows Americans want Trump reelected by a 51-38 margin.

In 2018, Rasmussen Reports predicted that Republicans would win the generic ballot by 1 percentage point while the actual election results had Democrats winning by nearly 9 percentage points. This error of nearly 10 percentage points was the largest polling error out of major firms who polled the national generic ballot.

I'm guessing WaPo says more or less the same thing, can't actually read past the paywall, but the story is only 2 hours old, so...

This afternoon the RNC called on Joe Biden to release the transcripts of his calls to Ukraine pertaining to the money laundering scheme to his son Hunter Biden.

Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel released the following statement in response to Joe Biden’s baseless call for impeachment:
“First it was the Russia hoax. Now it’s the Ukraine hoax.”
“Once again, Joe Biden has shown he is just as extreme as the rest of the 2020 Democrats who are desperate to bring President Trump down. Instead of backing a baseless impeachment effort, Biden should be answering for the only scandal that exists: Why a corrupt Ukrainian company paid his son $50,000 a month to lobby the Obama-Biden administration, and why Biden threatened the Ukrainians if they failed to fire a prosecutor investigating the company.”
“Now that the President has authorized the release of the transcript of his call with President Zelensky, we call on Biden to release the transcripts of his calls as Vice President with Ukrainian and Chinese leaders while his son was conducting shady business deals in those countries.”

It's not "WaPo" saying so, it's Henry Olsen, a conservative columnist who bases his piece on exactly 1 outlier poll, saying it.

lol, focusing on 3 specific days at literally the worst point in Obama's presidency, and ignoring the days right next to it as it doesn't suit the angle. Classic.

The whistleblower complaint isn't only about the call, and yeah, totally a mystery that people would be sceptical of what Trump decides to release about it.

Not like he's an inveterate liar, or has repeatedly released selectively edited transcripts.

Thanks to dem incompetence a la impeachment, we can no doubt anticipate a huge bump in Trump's approval ratings going forward. And especially when the FISA stuff is finally declassified. :D

But hey, since you're actually attempting to speak to the facts on their merits, care to actually comment on the shenanigens perpetrated by Google's "Derrida team" and the way they went Big Brother on the world with regard to the truth?

The whistleblower complaint was about a call the whistleblower apparently now never even heard in the first place, but that's the opposite of what everybody reported until Trump agreed to release the contents of the call, and now suddenly it's not about that anymore, but hey, that's not at all suspicious, amirite?

So just wondering, assuming that there was actually collusion between the DNC and the Ukrainians, is it your opinion that Trump should just ignore what happened and let bygones be bygones, or should he treat it like the Democrats treated the Russian collusion hoax?

Brain worms.

Trump said:
"That call was perfect. It couldn't have been nicer ... There was no pressure put on them whatsoever. But there was pressure put on with respect to Joe Biden."

There was no pressure whatsoever, but also there was pressure.

And Fox grading Trump's UN speech on a toddler curve:

"I think this was his best speech ever. Look at the body language, he was confident, he was reading slowly, he didn't repeat himself a bunch of times which he has always done in the past."

Now that Granny Pelosi got her head out of her ass a bit, I can't wait for the Trumpets to start arguing that impeachment is simultaneously an unconscionable outrage, but also actually totally awesome news for Trump.

Oh, and let's take a moment to reflect how quickly the narrative switched from "the whistleblower is a fake deep state plot" to "actually, maybe we can work something out for him to be interviewed by Congress" and "we'll release the transcript".
