It is one the few things that he is carrying on from the Trump era, which is good.
lol, Trump was reduced to begging China to buy soybeans, bro.

I mentioned before the 2020 US election that the political direction of travel was the US public was becoming more anti-China. It's one of the very few bi-partisan issues. Look at the recent bill passed in the Senate about generating micro chip capacity etc. in the US.

As for the amounts, it is predictably one of the highest in the country.

Nope. Texas' is more than double California's.

California has some of the dumbest regulations regarding property in the country, they could start by easing up on some of them, which will ease the housing shortage and start lowering property prices.
Agreed. Californian cities have idiotic zoning laws that need to be eased significantly. L.A. has downzoned their urban areas significantly over the last couple of decades. Easiest way to suburbanise poverty and drive up housing costs. Moronic.

So, the way I read this is that folks on Newsmax are saying that blasphemy, in a country where freedom of religion is enshrined in the constitution, is actually illegal, and AGs should look into jailing folk who don’t believe in the Christian god.

Very specifically the Christian god.

But… But I was told creeping Sharia was the threat to religious freedom.
Conservative hypocrisy is nothing new of course, but just to note that Allah is just the Arabic word for God. It can refer to the Christian God.

One wonders if these Newsmax dummies think Jesus (who likely spoke Aramaic) spoke American English.

Damn, CRT is causing Louisiana to teach... this in their history books.

Sweet baby cheeses.

The Civil War tweet in that thread... Kate Stone, our Louisiana belle...

"But even for a patriot the war's hardships became hard to take" and "With them came a justified fear that their slaves would abandon the plantation for the freedom they believed the Union army would provide" and "due to emancipation (the freeing of the slaves), lost all their property in slaves. The family had to face the new reality of planting and harvesting their fields with freed people who, Kate regretted, now demanded 'high wages'"

But the real kicker...

"She founded the Madison Parish chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy"

Wow, you use one small example and that somehow proves Trump did not take a muscular approach to China? Wow, such logic. Nothing like looking at a grain of sand instead of the sand castle.

Jan. 24, Twitter:
“China has been working very hard to contain the Coronavirus. The United States greatly appreciates their efforts and transparency. It will all work out well. In particular, on behalf of the American People, I want to thank President Xi!”

Feb. 7, Twitter:
“Just had a long and very good conversation by phone with President Xi of China. He is strong, sharp and powerfully focused on leading the counterattack on the Coronavirus. He feels they are doing very well, even building hospitals in a matter of only days … Great discipline is taking place in China, as President Xi strongly leads what will be a very successful operation. We are working closely with China to help!
