Has it occurred to you that this person has a behavioral problem that they can't control? Has it occurred to you that your own medical treatment will be subsidised by others if you ever are afflicted by a major illness? Your views on universal coverage are born out of fear, not love.
No, they are based in reality, with economics behind it.

Have you seen what public healthcare looks like in South Africa?

So should people with lifestyle diseases such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease, stroke, liver disease, lung cancer, all be left out to dry because of their poor choices? Is it fair on healthy medical aid members that their premiums get driven up by people who are sick with lifestyle diseases? What about the fact that all people pay tax; are they not entitled to basic healthcare from paying tax?
Taxes shouldn't be used to provide anything other than protecting individual rights.

They should only provide things like a police system, a judiciary etc.

What if the person cannot pay more? What if they are unable to earn an income? Must they be left to suffer and die?
If they are unable to earn an income, then they would be unable to afford the things that cause lifestyle diseases like overeating, drinking and smoking.

I would think the obvious solution is to correct their lifestyles and get a job.
What if they cannot work due to their medical problem? For example, if they suffered a stroke that left them paralysed and unable to speak?

That is why you have life insurance. That type of cover is actually fairly cheap in comparison with medical aid premiums.

Chronic overeating and laziness and being weak willed. I count 3 behavior problems.

Thats how all medical aids/insurance work. No need to involve the government. Private companies are better at assessing risk.

That's disability cover, not life insurance, and it's not that cheap.
See, the thing is, you're looking at this from a human perspective, which is absolutely normal, but that's where wires get crossed... Libertarians view humans as line-items they'll put up with if they maximise corporate profits, and if they don't, well then those humans need to be junked.

The "sick/poor folks need to pull themselves up by their bootstraps" replies you've been getting is the argument Libertarians use to look away without caring.

Tell me all about how well the private company Group 5 assessed the risk of constructing the power station in Ghana?

Whose power station are they building?

You can bet they would be very good with the risk if it was their money on the line.

There exist many private charities and churches that take care of people who can't take car of themselves.
Also family.

The last thing we sould do is make it easy for someone who is extremely obese because that just enables them.
