Black guys killed by cops: the world comes to a standstill, America burns, the majority of cops are racist and the whole system is racist.

/shrug This was a parade, not a riot. The driver is a member of FLGMC and part of the parade. You wanna call him murderous driver, sure, I'd say more than likely accident and manslaughter :unsure:

If the US was a country with *only* white folks, it would have 196,92 million citizens and cops murdered 457 of those citizens last year. That's ,00023% of the citizenry murdered by law enforcement in 2020.

If the US was a country with *only* black folks, it would have 42,66 million citizens and cops murdered 214 of those citizens last year. That's ,00050% of the citizenry murdered by law enforcement in 2020.

Say, here's a thought... and work with me...

If we revisit the way law enforcement works, and maybe, just maybe send mental health folks to incidents like Tony's, a specialist would have managed the situation better than a bunch of hammers who only see nails.

Maybe, just maybe a mental health expert would have recognised a psychotic episode caused by being off medication and would have dealt with Tony accordingly, not, you know, with a knee in the neck.

Perhaps this response could be community specific.

Maybe, just maybe we should come up with a name for this approach... something like, "correct allocation of resources to provide situationally correct responses"

Nah, that's a bit heavy and won't catch on...

Now I'm thinking maybe three words max... something, something the police?

Help a brother out with an appropriate first word, pal.

Eish, still hammering on about numbers and can't see the bigger picture, which has been pointed out to you by 3 people now. Shame.

Sending head doctors into dangerous situations is stupid, a cop would need to back them up.
You really have bought into all the BLM talking points haven't you, you just parrot them off without thinking.

Babes, I see mathematics is not one of your talents, but let me help you out here. Statistical mathematics describes the bigger picture. It is precisely the point of using numbers to confirm or reject a premise.

It would be a great idea to have a police office backing up a trained medical specialist (aka Head Doctors, as the older folk used to call them) - that way the situation can be controlled, and there is less likelihood of anyone dying.
