As much as people like Greg wanted to politicise this, it wasn't really. Many of the "Yes" votes were from Dem voters as well.
So there isn't a shift per say in CA, but rather a shift away from Newsom.

If it came to ballot time between a D and a R the %'s are not like to change much, unless Newsom really does something in between to alienate voters away from the party.
