It was $1.77 on 27 April 2020

Isn't that when overstocking of oil to capacity caused the price to go into the negative?

If I remember correctly they would pay you like $35 for every barrel you take off their hands?

So, am I correct in saying that presidents of USA issue executive orders intermittently to bring gasoline prices up and down? Or is it being determined by market factors ?
The Trump administration sought to make the USA energy independent, which they almost did .
Hence the low gas prices during this time.

The Biden administration wants to make the USA energy dependent, hence the price explosion.

Biden does not believe in fossil fuels, which the USA has huge reserves of. Trump does believe in fossil fuels.

Nonsense, US energy independence started with Obama. However it wasn't anything to do with executive orders and rather the advancements in shale technology and shale mania. During Obama's final years he was the one that in fact lifted the export ban.

I guess if the current commodity prices are Biden's fault, then it's only fair to also say that the 2020 economic collapse was Trump's fault.

I don't know much on this topic tbh but I will try to educate myself. Is there scientific consensus on what is better? Personally, I would go with that rather than siding with president X.

How would one decide though? I mean I want to eat potato chips all the time but I am told it is not good for me but at the same time eating carrots all the time is not good either. Is it healthy to have mix of green + fossil and at what proportion? Or is it a question of choice of an individual state/country/province/continent?

Or could it be a global vote to decide democratically or each nation gets to do referendum or enforce by each party in power etc?

A question for the conservatives in this thread real quick...

When you're filling out the application form to be a Republican House candidate... In the 'Have You Committed' section... Question six, right after 'Theft From a Cancer Charity'... There's the 'Have You Committed Statutory Rape?' question...

Is answering "No" immediately disqualifying?

That definitely makes him unsuitable for an elected position.

In other news, a social-media backed campaign by leftie quacks tried to get Pence's memoir cancelled. Fortunately, the CEO squatted away the leftie quacks. The left is aligning with corporate America to squash any views that are not aligned with their beliefs.
