Dems on here: Majorie Greene is a very influential member among House Republicans OR as an alternative narrative [once I pointed out she is not in a leadership position and she was booted off all committees], is the future of the GOP.

Me: https://www.politico.com/news/2021/...jorie-taylor-greene-holocaust-rhetoric-490737

Literally the second paragraph:
But GOP leaders stopped short of calling for any disciplinary action, illustrating how Republicans have struggled to rein in the most radical elements of their party — an issue that will only continue to plague the GOP in the looming battle for control of the House.

Literally the second paragraph:
... doesn't change my point though, does it? If GOP leaders are criticising her, there is NO chance she is obtaining a leadership position or a prized position on a committee anytime soon. You can gain proper influence in politics by being in a position of power. Also, I'm unsure whether disciplinary action will actually help in this case...she's so far gone but removing her from the party (is that even allowed?) will generate awkward questions as she won her primary and the GE for the seat.

You're technically correct. However you seem to be missing my point about your victory lap. It can be represented as such:

Yeah, I can't remember anyone in the GOP criticising Donald Trump before he won the election. What they have done here is a slap on the wrist, a don't be naughty when it comes to antisemitism, now carry on.

I will let you contemplate why this post is silly and the situations are somewhat different.

Yet they bring disciplinary action against anyone who even mentions the name Trump if not prefaced with "our dear leader"?

Sabah alkhyr ya habibi.

Another day of Biden disappointing liberals. It's like conservatives never lost.
Loving that absence of budget allocation for college-debt right-offs.

Insha'Allah.

None of the anti-Trump GOP members have been removed from the party in the House, so they are in the same position as Greene. You might bring up Cheney, but she was in a leadership position, so action could be taken and even on that count, a vote was called and given the huge pro-Trump bias among house GOP members, it was obvious she'd lost because she is in the minority faction. I'm unaware of any other action against the 9 GOP members who voted for impeachment besides some Trump supporters saying they will challenge them in the GOP primary, which is a perfectly legitimate form of democratic contestation.
