Damn, Biden implementing three policies I actually support in recent months: investing in semi conductor manufacturing capacity in the US instead of allowing dodgy Chinese companies to own the market, building the border wall and decriminalizing marijuana usage.
Those first two sounds more like Trump type plans. Some people are still upset that he did not do the marijuana pardons in 2020.
Hope they just make sure none of those are pleaded down sentences as then it might contain violent offenders as well.

The person who should be pardoned is Julian Assange.

Yeah I also remember that, as well as all the articles back then just like this one

Guess escalating a war is one way to win elections

Yup, WWIII trended so many times during his presidency. It's amazing to watch the Biden admin escalate nuclear tensions and no one here is saying anything...

With the cherry on top being that if you're against escalating tensions you're somehow a dirty MAGA supporter

I remember leftists losing their mind when Trump was elected saying he would start nuclear war. Funny how the senile retard and cackling harpy are the ones who are going to lead us down the path to nuclear war.

"Lead us down the path" meaning supporting Ukraine so that the lunatic in Moscow is so publicly embarrassed by the debacle of his attempted takeover that he launches nukes to save his own face?

Ah yes support Ukraine no matter what happens. Yes lets ignore everything that led up to this...
They just lack any ability to negotiate and continue to prod him despite Biden appearing weak to other world leaders.

Fighting a half-arsed proxy war with a country that your allies depend on for energy isn't a particularly good strategy.

The moment Putin mentioned nukes, the US should have parked its submarines in the Baltic. That is how this game has to be played.

The gas situation in Europe would be much easier as the US wouldn't have sabotaged its own gas industry under Trump . Which means it would have plenty of gas to export to Europe. Ceasing imports of Russian gas into Europe would make Putin's war very, very expensive, without hurting allies. In fact fuel prices wouldn't have taken a slump either. Which means that there wouldn't be the domestic economic pressure in the US right now that is going to pull military aid away from Ukraine.

To sum it up:
The US and Europe have a very weak negotiation position because of energy. You solve the energy problem and you counter his nuclear weapons, Putin has no option but the negotiation table.

So your view is that if Biden had just parked nuclear subs on Putin's doorstep the moment Putin mentioned them, Putin would have been cowed into submission? And if they played hardball with Russia's gas supply, Putin would have been forced to negotiate terms? That is ludicrous. Putin would have treated nuclear subs as a declaration of war by NATO. And he wouldn't have been affected at all by more gas sanctions.

Not to mention that Russia also has 10 ballistic missile submarines that could just as easily be parked on the US's doorstep..
