lol “for some reason” - you keep drinking that koolaid.
Yeah I say that because those that criticise him are very one dimensional in their thinking.
Ironically enough he is in actuality a much better person than the majority of those on here that deride him.

But sure let one small story from over a decade ago define him as a whole.
A story that was one of only a thousand he covers every year.
A story that was spun out of proportions by the media not by him.
A story that didn't contribute to his gaining popularity nor form the backdrop of his success.
A story that hounded him more so than any of the plaintiffs in the lawsuits.

However here we have you, and various others, who decide to form their opinion on the man from this one instance out of thousands were he spoke his mind and turned out to be wrong. You have no idea what was in the news cycle at that time nor what happened prior to make people doubt this story.
So yeah the one quaffing the koolaid is you

Among likely voters nationwide, the race is a tight split, with 50% backing the Democratic candidate and 47% behind the Republican. But in competitive congressional districts, Democratic support among likely voters dips and preferences tilt toward the Republicans: 48% of likely voters in that group prefer the Republican candidate, 43% the Democrat.
Voters are narrowly more likely to say that Republican candidates near them have a clear plan for solving the country’s problems (32%) than they are to say the same about Democratic candidates (28%). In a notable party divide, Republicans are far more likely than Democrats to see their own party’s candidates as having a clear plan for solving problems (71% of Republicans say GOP candidates have such a plan vs. 59% of Democrats who say the same about their party’s nominees). A wide swath of voters – 41% nationwide, including 62% of independent voters – say they see neither party’s candidates as having a clear plan for solving problems.

Proto Chinese credit score? Should banks be able to deprive people of their service given how much federal tax payer money goes towards bailing them out?
Companies should be able to do what they want. Free world and all that cake making business stuff. Btw they paid that bailout TARP funds money back a year later.
