Wonder where all those who were crying about "election interference" now? Oh, right. They have run away like cowards because it was never about "election interference" at all.

What election interference? If you mean the lead to Trump's win, that would the US government you should challenge. Under Trump we must not forget to add.

The Hunter laptop thing is a bit unsure. It smacks of desperation to me that the only dirt they could dig up on Biden was his son's delinquency and his dick pics. And if you read the entire thing you'll see that the narrative changes according to the author's prejudices. Not even the Musk tweets reveal anything.

I always thought you were a rational and reasonable person. You try malign people for using words, but you don't see an issue where people are selling access to the "big guy". But, at the same time, you cling onto conspiracy theories about Russian interference (which you cannot even qualify or quantify in your own words).

This is why politics will never be sane.

It's smacks of hypocrisy in here.

Anyway, I have always readily admitted that social media including Twitter were biased against the right in their moderation approach. There's this whole social justice based approach where people of colour and gender stuff gets preference as an allowance for past wrongs done them.

I however, don't agree with this current story as nothing that looks desperate. There's nothing to it. It is commentated by equally biased parties on either end. Your thread there for example reads like some history thing with no meat in it. The person spends too much time posting irrelevant nonsense that ends in a disappointing anticlimax leaving the voyeur most unfulfilled.

You said earlier that I've become unhinged without clarifying so for clarification I hold in contempt people who idolise politicians and cling to support of politicians or political causes like they do sports teams. That's not a new position. I've always maintained that.

Who is being idolized in this thread? @The_Right_Honourable_Brit has spoken out against Trump numerous time yet you still try and paint him with a brush. Just listen to yourself for a minute.

I say you are unhinged because you are still down the Russiagate hole, yet you don't see an issue with the Biden family selling access to the Ukrainians? Speaking of hypocrisy, you need to have a little self awareness.

I don't remember having a view on the Biden's selling or not selling access to Ukraine. But reading it, it looks like what he did was standard capitalist corrupt which they like to call lobbying. At the risk of whataboutism, Trump's campaign and his allies engaged in even more extensive lobbying with various Russian entities and business people. That looks even more election related than Biden. Not sure if you see the hypocrisy of your dogged position re Biden but willing to stick fingers in ears and hands on eyes over anything Russia. Didn't the US government investigate this Biden thing? I recall the GOP have revived the laptop thing in recent weeks.

And not stuck on Russia gate - I've not seen you post anything credible to counter the findings made by the US government.

No, Trump did not. The Trump Tower meeting was debunked. Years ago. I have posted hundreds of posts about Russiagate. You are welcome to search through my post history.

Surely, since your mind is made up, you can explain the reach Russian interference had on the elections? You have not formed an opinion on the Biden family's corruption, but you think you are informed on Russiagate. The fact that you care to have an opinion on the one over the other is more confirmation in of itself that you are biased.

Admit you are, and we can move on.

DONALD TRUMP, the former president and the person that polls show is still the most likely GOP presidential nominee in 2024, today on Truth Social called for the suspension of the Constitution to overturn the 2020 election, citing false conspiracy theories about election fraud.

“A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution,” Trump wrote, hours after new details of Twitter’s internal moderation deliberations in 2020 were released at the behest of new owner ELON MUSK. (More on that below.)

Every Republican will be asked about Trump’s statement. The former president dined with antisemites last week, and now he says the Constitution should be discarded. If you are a Republican who thinks being asked to take a position on this is just some liberal media trap, consider what you would say if BARACK OBAMA or JOE BIDEN tweeted this

BIG WIN for Republicans if this does come to pass...

SIMI VALLEY, Calif. — Final defense legislation set to be unveiled next week could undo the Pentagon’s policy of kicking out troops for not taking the Covid vaccine, the Democratic chair of the House Armed Services Committee said Saturday.
Rep. Adam Smith (D-Wash.) said a rollback of the policy is on the table for a compromise version of the National Defense Authorization Act, but hasn’t been decided yet.

“We haven’t resolved it, but it is very fair to say that it’s in discussion,” Smith told POLITICO on the sidelines of the Reagan National Defense Forum. He noted that the mandate may not be logical anymore.

“I was a very strong supporter of the vaccine mandate when we did it, a very strong supporter of the Covid restrictions put in place by DoD and others,” he added. “But at this point in time, does it make sense to have that policy from August 2021? That is a discussion that I am open to and that we’re having.”

This explains better than I can ever hope to.
