All that being said, how are they going to do jury selection for a US president?

It would be entirely reasonable for the jury to find him guilty because they don’t want him to be president. Not because of the facts or the law. And the same goes for the opposite, if the jury wanted him to be president, they wouldn’t give a toss about the facts or the law.
Both sides participate in jury selection from the random pool of jurors selected for duty.

I know that, the problem is that Trump can raise a very good defence that NYC is a hostile jury pool.

Trump has great respect for this grand jury though.

Thats Georgia not NY.
Yeah and?
Just imagine what they have in the NY one.

Curious how far a partisan jury can tip the scales in cases where the preponderance of evidence show innocence, never mind reasonable doubt.
We have Stormy with her written signed testimony that the alleged affair never happened, then she claimed her signature was forged, then her lawyer said no it's true, then eventually said she felt forced to lie due to the money. Extremely trustworthy woman this.
Then we have Cohen who in an unsealed letter specifically state that it wasn't Trump that paid any money.
There is a reason lawyers say this case is extremely weak...

Add to this whole shebang the statute of limitations and you get a right mess.
Watching this unfold will be very entertaining

My only gripe, beside wasting time & money, is that this will distract the sheeple from actual news events.

I’m saying they’re different to your inference.
Yes they are obviously difference to the actual people on the GA one, NY may be even worse.
It goes back to your original comment about "having respect for the Grand Jury".
It seems Trump was premature in his statement praising them.
