Democrats in Florida are attempting to use a state law that censors books in public schools against the governor who signed it, Ron DeSantis, by asking schools to review or ban the Republican governor’s own book, The Courage to be Free.

Well it's Chicago. Just will mean further decline of the city. You get what you deserve. The whackjob is a supporter of defund the police (despite soaring crime in Chicago) and heavily backed by the teachers union i.e he will be beholden to whatever the unions say.
Chicago will be just fine.

That's hilarious, using the sleazy authoritarian's own anti-freedom laws against him.

1. “Whackjobs” win.
Brandon Johnson is likely to be a better choice when it comes to tackling violence and crime too. It's common in the US for a tough on crime stance to be an easy populist option. Viewing the police as the solution to all problems. Brandon Johnson could certainly have adopted this lazy stance, but instead rightly sees these as broader problems and the police as only one component of the solution.

In reality the term "defund the police" has such a broad meaning that someone saying they support it or accusing someone of supporting it doesn't tell us anything.

The whackjob reference wasn't mine. They're both dem candidates and ultimately since Johnson is pro union and Chicago is a union city it's no wonder he took the win.

Hundreds of pro- and anti-Trump protesters had gathered outside the Manhattan criminal court, and the crowds were expected to go wild as the former president arrived and was taken into the custody.

But in the event, few knew Donald Trump had arrived until he was already in the building and under arrest.

It made for a slightly underwhelming scene as the two opposing crowds – separated by metal barriers – were filled with whispers, rather than chants.
You'd have to be very deluded if you think he'll ever be PotUS again. DeSantos has even less chance.

Nope. Progressive DAs like that one in San Francisco was recalled precisely because "justice reform" always seems to involve going on easier on criminals. Chicago crime will get worse over the period. But like here where all the idiots vote ANC, you get what you vote for.

Boudin was accused of being soft on prosecuting criminals and not keeping potentially harmful people in jail. Boudin was also criticized in several high-profile cases for releasing suspects with a history of previous convictions who then went on to commit further crimes.[19][20][21][22]

While everyone is rightfully busy laughing at Braggs case, here is some more funny court findings.

Stormy Daniels Must Pay More to Trump’s Lawyers, Court Says

The US Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit issued a six-page order directing Stormy Daniels to pay nearly $122,000 in legal fees to Trump’s attorneys
